Robert Moves BackEpisode Number: 72 Season Num: 3 First Aired: Monday May 17, 1999 Prod Code: 9825 |
Robert's pants that Monica Horan (Amy) wears had to be specially made to accommodate the humor of the scene. In the DVD audio commentary for this episode, Ray Romano and series creator Phil Rosenthal acknowledged that realistically, there was absolutely no way Robert's pants would go all the way up to Amy's chest like that, and yet it had to be done to make the scene funny.

Robert: (hands Ray a piece of paper) These are posted all over the building.
Ray: Were you offended by the display?
Robert: It's a petiton to make bedroom curtains mandatory. (edit) Marie: You are out of control, young man.
Robert: No, I'm not, Mom.
Frank: Hard to make that argument without pants. (edit) Amy: Robert... Six months ago, when I asked you about our future, you got all freaked out, and we broke up. Now, all of a sudden, you want to get married because you’re afraid of what your mother thinks?
Marie: Sometimes a mother knows best, dear.
Amy: Sometimes a mother should just butt out!
(long silence, everyone is stunned)
Frank: Robert, you gotta marry this one! (edit) Robert: Did you tell anyone else?
Debra: No, I swear!
Ray: Hey hey heyyyyy, Robert! (edit) Marie: Who keeps pornography for 29 years?
Frank: Anyone married to you. (edit) Debra: (about Robert) Oh, his feet are fine.
Ray: Yeah, fine, if you're trying to jump-start a vomit. (edit) Ray: (to Robert) That's the rule of marriage: a spouse automatically has the right to know that you deflowered a woman in front of your entire apartment building. (edit)

This episode's lunch special is possibly a beef loin on pasta with peppers and tomatos.
