Who is considered to be the more controlling, nagging wife? I think Debra on Everybody Loves Raymond is because many of her comments are uncalled for and just plain nasty. Raymond is a likable, easy-going guy who you see repeatedly being verbally cut down by his wife.
On the other hand I think Carrie's comments are more justified as Doug's character on King of Queens comes across very juvenile & for the most part deserves the scolding.

Good question. I'll have to come down on the side of Carrie as the worse of the two nagging wives. Her verbal attacks have a sharp edge that comes from an insensitivity and rudeness that Debra does not have. Debra's complaints are more of a whining exasperated nature that may show anger but not the hostility that Carrie shows. I think both husbands are well deserving of the abuse they get, as self-centered man-boys who put their own interests before anyone else in the family.

Ray's far from a saint, I'll tell you that. Half of the time, he deserves the scoldings he gets for being an "idiot", as Debra would say. I think Ray can be one of the biggest idiots sometimes.
As for the comparison, I'd say that I don't really know who would be more controlling or nagging, but I'd declare it a tie.
