Everybody Loves Raymond revolves around Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter living on Long Island with his wife, Debra, daughter, Ally, and twin sons, Geoffrey and Michael. That's the good news.

The bad news? Ray's meddling parents, Frank and Marie, live directly across the street and embrace the motto "Su casa es mi casa," infiltrating their son's home to an extent unparalleled in television history. Frank's favorite expression, "Holy Crap," is shouted at regular intervals, and Marie's "cooking advice" is less than appreciated by Debra. Brother Robert, a divorced policeman, is constantly moving in and out of his parents' house, and loves to drop over and resent Ray's successful career and happy family life.   Great family Comedy! hide « show »

  This series is a series comedy about a family who live on Long Island. Ray Barone (Ray Romano) who works for New York Newsday and his wife Debra Barone (Patrica Heaton) with their three kids Ally, Michael, and Geoffery. This family have most of their troubles because ray's parents live across the street Frank Barone (Peter Boyle) and Marie Barone (Doris Roberts) and Ray's brother who lived with his parents for half of the season Robert Barone (Brad Garret). This show aired in 1995 and ended in the year 2005. This family comedy show is a very very good show. Awesome show!

  I think there's a certain chemistry when Ray, Debra, Robert, and Amy are on-screen together. Patricia Heaton is a much better actress than people realize and her interaction with Marie towards the end of the episode really hightlights how talented she is.
  
  Marie plays her role perfectly here and even manages to diminish and embarrass Debra as she's trying to have a soft moment with Marie. Brilliant!
  
  And you have to give the writers credit for (at first glance) trying to write Marie and Frank out of the show in a classy way. But again, the brilliant writing finds Marie and Frank coming back home again, much to the chagrin of everyone.

  A tribute (review) to my favourite character, Debra Barone!! hide « show »

  What can one say about Patricia Heaton (aka Debra Barone)? She truly is the epitome of woman power in Everybody Loves Raymond. She holds her ground & knows to kick Marie's butt! Marie brings the insultss (and so does Ray at times) & she can just keep the witty insults comings right back at her. Debra shows her character best in the "Good Girls" episode where she mocks Ray with a song from "A Chorus Line". She's the best! If you haven't seen this show yet, watch it & keep an eye out for Debra. She rocks and keeps the show funny & moving forward.

  Everybody Loves Raymond stuns me. No stupid humor, no sex jokes (the only mentioning of sex is in a serious maner), no cultural refrences, yet I still love it. I don't know how I like it, I just do. Every joke just lands right to me. Whenever the Barone family talks, hillarity accurs. Most shows have zany outlandish plots that aren't really jokes but still make you laugh, but this one actually makes jokes and are funny. Ray, Frank, Robert and Marie are all hillarious. Debra isn't really funny, but hey, I guess every show needs a sane character. My only complaint is Amy. She was completely pointless. Check this out, it's one of the all-time greatest sitcoms ever.

  Best Episode Ever! hide « show »

  This episode is a series classic, HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Geofrey writes a story about the angry family, Ray and the family thinks it's about them. They go for a meeting where Debra's longest and best line happens, then right after that they're in counseling. In the end they find out that Geofrey really wrote it about a TV show.
