Debra tries explaning how to do the checkbook to Raymond, but he easily gets confused. Debra gets angry and decides after he comments that she makes it confusing,that Raymond will run the checkbook. SIX WEEKS LATER, Raymond comes to Andy to figure out why the electric company is going to shut off the power. It turns out that in only six weeks, Raymond has bounced 14 checks including the electirc company's, lost half of the money by paying full on the visa, and is now 3,000 dollars overdrown. Instead of telling Debra and leting her know he can't do it, he makes a fake checkbook to impress her. It does and while she thinks he can handle, Raymond tries to hide the fact that they have no power. Raymond asks for a loan from Robert which then has Frank and Marie involved. Raymond tells them he needs the loan because Debra has a shopping problem. After fooling the parents, Raymond races to put the loan in the bank before Debra gets there first to get money from the overdrown account. First Raymond pushes an old women away from the banking machine outside. Then the machine dosen't work and then closes. Robert helps until the old women gets an officer and the officer and Robert then have to take Raymond away which gets the attention of Debra. That night Debra begins trying to fix the mess Raymond caused. After the adding dosen't add up in turns out Raymond had shown Debra a third checkbook, he bounced a check from the second. After that the electricity goes out again.
