Debra is tired of reading the same bedtime stories every night. She thinks that she should write a children's book. Ray thinks that she's just "looking for something to do". She then thinks it would be great if Ray would help her. Ray whines because he doesn't want to spend his free time writing. Debra tries to flatter Ray by calling him a good writer and Ray says "Don't even start with that unless you're willing to back it up with sex."

Frank says he'll help with the artwork for Debra's book because he used to paint. Frank then mentions that he painted nude women; one of them being Marie. With Marie and Robert throwing out ideas, Ray agrees to help Debra write her story.

Ray and Debra goes downstairs to write her story. Debra wants to write it about the time Ally wanted to run away from home. Ray and Debra can't agree on who the character will be: a dinosaur or a bunny. Debra decides she doesn't want Ray's help anymore.

Ray comes home to see Debra struggling on her story. Debra isn't mad at Ray and he says "Good... I almost bought flowers." Debra gets frustrated and throws her notebook. Ray takes the note from Debra's notbook and writes the story for Debra. The character is a bunny named Winky. Debra makes some changes to the story such as changing the bunny's name to Clive and Ray doesn't like it. They decide to let Ally decide whose story she likes the best.

Ray reads Ally his story and she likes it. She says she liked Ray's story better than Debra's. However, Ray goes downstairs and tells Debra Ally liked hers. Debra knew Ray was lying and she yells at him. Ray says that things went bad because Debra involved him and she agrees.
