Ray comes home one day with a bulldog. Debra doesn't want to keep it, but Ray does. He says it reminds him of Shamsky, the dog he and Robert had to give away as a child because of Ray's allergies.

The next day, noone has claimed the dog yet. Robert walks in and immediately falls in love with the dog. Debra sees how quickly Robert bonds with it and tells Ray to let Robert have it. Ray doesn't want to at first, but he gives in and lets Robert have the dog. Ray returns one evening to see that Robert got him a golf club as a gift. Someone knocks at the door and it's an old woman saying the dog is hers.

They tell her that her dog is across the street and Ray goes to get it. Ray reluctantly tells Robert that the dog's owner came by. Robert is hurt, but gives up the dog anyway. Frank is upset because they spent $200 to get the dog fixed.

Ray returns and Debra immediately notices the dog has been fixed. Ray tries to keep the owner from noticing and she leaves. Robert brings by all the toys they bought for the dog and gives them to the woman. Seconds later she returns, saying the dog is worthless because he has been fixed. Ray offers to buy the dog for Robert, and pays $2000 for it.
