The Fairly OddParents is a totally out-of-this-world cartoon about a 10-year old boy named Timmy whose life isn't exactly normal. The Fairly OddParents has been shown from three different channels throughout the world: Jetix, the Disney Channel, and on Nickelodeon. Being bossed around by his bossy babysitter, Timmy can't stand it anymore, so his Fairy Godparents are there to help. His Fairy Godparents go by the name of Cosmo and Wanda, who grant Timmy's wishes. Of course, these fairies aren't exactly geniuses, epsecially Cosmo. Watch their wacky adventures you'll wish for more! Like fellow Nicktoon SpongeBob SquarePants, the show has become hugely popular and has a large, devoted fan base encompassing all age groups.

Character Guide:

Timmy Turner - Timmy, an average 10-year-old boy, was miserable because of his dimwit parents and Vicky, his evil babysitter. One day, he was playing with a magic 8-ball and a married fairy couple named Cosmo and Wanda appeared. When they became Timmy's fairy godparents, his misery ended.

Cosmo and Wanda - Cosmo and Wanda are the married couple of fairy godparents that are assigned to Timmy Turner. They are several thousand years old, and have had many, many fairy godchildren. They grant wishes to Timmy so that he isn't miserable anymore.

Poof - Poof is the only natural child of Cosmo and Wanda and is Timmy's fairy godbrother. He was born in the episode "Fairly Odd Baby", and has since become a regular character on the show. He is way too young to grant wishes, but depending on his emotions, magical things happen. And sometimes, when Timmy grants a wish, he gets the wish wrong.

Vicky - Vicky is an evil 16-year-old babysitter who constantly tortures Timmy and other kids. Her favorite things are money, torturing children, and watching TV.

Denzel Q. Crocker - Mr. Crocker is Timmy's fairy-obsessed schoolteacher. He is also one of Timmy's arch-enemies. He strongly suspects that Timmy has fairy godparents, though when he tells people he believes in fairies, they think that he's crazy.

Chester McBadbat - Chester is one of Timmy's best friends. He has braces on his teeth, which he once used to help Timmy win a contest. He lives in a run-down trailer with his dad, who wears a paper bag over his head because of the humiliation he faced as a lousy baseball player.

A.J. - A.J., an African American, is Timmy's other best friend. He is the genius in Timmy's class, and also has a secret lab. Consequently, he sometimes gets jealous when someone else wins first place in a contest. A.J., like his dad, likes to invent things.

Theme Song:

Chorus: Timmy is an average kid that no one understands. Mom and Dad and Vicky always giving him commands.
Vicky: Bed, twerp!
Chorus: But doom and gloom up in his room is broken instantly, by his magic little fish who grant his every wish, 'cause in reality, they are his odd parents, fairly odd parents.

  Wonderful show. hide « show »

  I've been watching the show since 2003 and through it's highs and lows The Fairly Odd Parents remains a great show for young children and adults (like myself) to watch. Such an achievement for a series to hit and surpass the 35 episode mark, not to mention produce many T.V specials some which casts well known names such as Kiss's very own Gene Simmons. With a total of seven seasons and still going strong, I'm surprised it remains one of Nickelodeon's top cartoons after so many years.
  
  Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda fly through many chaotic adventures, each wackier then the one before. Through out the series the show has fallen with a few sour lemons, even ended production for almost a year but every cloud has a silver lining. After a second chance with 'Fairly Odd Baby' ratings boomed and the magical trio was back on the tube, it has broken the ratings many times after that with 'Fairy Oddlympics' and 'Wishology'.
  
  With season seven on it's way and the 'new bundle of jo--evil' I'm sure The Fairly Odd Parents will continue to amuse the masses.

  Another great show that was before a "Oh Yea!" short from Nickelodean. I remember when this show first premiered and i fell in love with it. The story takes place as an average 11 year old boy named Timmy Turner is tired of being bossed around by her evil baby-sitter Vicky. When Timmy throws a yellow magic 8ball to the wall, his fairly godparents came out. And i don't know if he's really 11 years old, i haven't watched this show in ages. I personally loved Cosmos voice in the first episodes, but now it's gone. The wishology thing was stupid, and the same for the baby poof episode. They pretty much screwed up the whole entire series. But as i remember as it it, Timmy Turner was once a great classic cartoon to start off with. Overall this show's great.

  This is a very fun and creative show. The main star Timmy Turner is faced with challenges on his many misadventures and learns from his mistakes as well as morals with the help of his beloved fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda. Of course, this cartoon series does show that being a kid is not always easy with homework, bullies at school, and parents who seem to not understand your needs and desires. The cartoon also shows that being an adult is also challenging. (as seen in one episode when Timmy wished to be an adult) It's packed with fantasy, adventure, zany humor, and some love. One of the most redeeming qualities of this show is that it teaches about morality and judgement as well as how events can be affected by your judgements such as Timmy's wishes to have dessert as the only meal and everyone became unhealthy and super obese. This show does have it's charms. It does have repeated gags in many episodes which can get annoying at times, but it doesn't affect the show too much. It's a family cartoon worth watching.

  A 10 year old boy named Timmy Turner feels neglected by his oblivious parents, and is rewarded with magical fairy god parents that grant his every wish. hide « show »

  This show was awesome in the beginning, but kinda dragged a little towards the end. I loved Cosmo and Wanda's sweet relationship, but it kinda stopped once Poof came along. Personally, I don't think that Poof should have been added to the show. He annoys me. My favorite episodes are Kung Timmy, Deja Vu, the one with the You-Do dolls, and I have lots more! My fave character is probably Timmy, although I hate his high, nasaly voice. lol. i hate wanda's voice too. nag, nag, nag is all she does. But I guess Timmy and Cosmo need her around.

  This was a great show...but they should have ended it sooner.....it became annoying. hide « show »

  This is an excellent show. Timmy is an average 10 year old boy with normal problems such as bullies and crazy teachers. But..he has something not normal....Cosmo and Wanda! His Fairly Oddparents! (and Poof, who comes later) This show was great if you don't watch the same episode 15 times a day. The show is random and funny and i love it because of Cosmo. But it should have ended at Fairly Oddbaby because after that...it was fine...though Wishology was a little weird. They play it a lot on Nicktoons, but not that much on Nick. It's a very good show. I mean, some of the episodes with Poof were ok, but others were annoying and Wishology= Extremely weird.
