Faith: I always said I wanted huge breasts. I used to think that was the most important quality.
(edit)
Faith: I think beauty comes from within. If you are happy and look at life in the best way you can, even when there are problems, it can make you beautiful on the outside.
(edit)
Faith: (on being influenced by Elvis Presley's concert performance) When he walked out onstage he looked like a pea, but to me he was larger than life. I'm not sure what it was – his presence, the reaction of the people – but after that concert, I had to be a performer, pure and simple.
(edit)
Faith: When my kids grow up, I want them to know who the hell I am. I want them to be able to say, `My mother taught me how to read, how to appreciate life and how to apply makeup.'
(edit)
Faith: (on being a performer) The excitement and energy that happens on stage is unbelievable. The only thing better than that is sex, I swear!
(edit)
Faith: (in a 2007 interview) I feel like I've not made my best album yet ... I really feel strongly about that. But the records I have made have built my career, and I'm very proud of them.
(edit)
Faith: I have this fear of [my kids] growing up and my not being a part of their life.
(edit)
Faith: (in 2007) I grew up asking for everything under the sun for Christmas, but I knew I wasn't going to get it all, and my husband and I make sure that our girls realize that, too. We don't buy them lavish gifts; last year, glitter markers were a big hit. We are raising our girls to understand the true meaning of the season, and to know that the most important thing is having Christmas in your heart.
(edit)
Faith: One time, my 5-year-old daughter Audrey said, "Mom, I'm going to know how much I love you even after I die." Tears starting rolling down my face, and I was like, "Does she know something I don't?" It was so powerful. Forget about all my other problems. They are meaningless.
(edit)
Faith: (about her kids wanting e-mail accounts, cell phones, and such) They beg. And we'll say, "There's no reason you need that." It's hard. We're not trying to deprive our children, but to instill in them patience, logical thinking, and caution.
(edit)
Faith: (about husband Tim McGraw) I'm all for the girls going crazy and going goo-goo ga-ga over him, but when another woman grabs my husband's privates? Hello! I don't think so! Hands off! You know what I'm saying?
(edit)
Faith: (on her reaction to Carrie Underwood winning female vocalist of the year in 2006) The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year.
