I joined the Series of FarScape, late into the series and was wondering why one episode showed him with one team, and another episode showed him with a different team? I am under the impression there were two of him but what was the point in splitting the entire team up?
So confused. |

There's really no way to answer without major spoilage, but yes, at the beginning of season 3 John is "twinned". I'd highly recommend watching it in order as the whole arc plays out much better than you might think.

Out of character explanation was that the extensive alien make up was getting unhealthy for the cast involved (Chiana, Zhaan and possibly D'Argo) so in order to get them some relief they looked for a clue where they could cut their appearance for the season until they could work things out. The ways the teams split isn't an accident it seems. Sadly, the make up continued to pose a problem to Virginia Hey who had to leave in season 3 for these reasons. It leaves quite a gap one senses throughout season 3 and parts of season 4 even though the replacements were not bad, they just got an even harder time filling in. |

They did do some pretty heavy work on the make-up front, think thats what attracted me to the programme in the first place.
