Five years ago, astronaut John Crichton attempted to use the Earth's atmosphere to propel his ship, Farscape 1, at great speeds across the solar system. He went much further though and was sucked down a wormhole to a distant part of the galaxy and into the middle of a battle. He was rescued by a group of escaping prisoners and taken aboard their ship, a living ship. As the years went by, Crichton has made enemies, powerful and dangerous enemies. On his journey to find a way back home, he freed other captives who became part of the crew on Moya.less «

  :idea:I decided to start a thread devoted to people who have questions on finding a specific episode. I am not sure yet about buying the DVD set. I love the series, but it is waaayyy expensive at present. So until then... Here's my question... Does anyone know which episode it was where John Crichton is talking with some wierd guy on an island (virtual perhaps) about time? I remember a line from the ep. "Time." something about how its meaningless and then "...and yet it is the only thing that matters." I love this episode. I need to know which one it is. I think it may be one of the ones where Crichton thinks he's back on Earth? Please help Thanx! :question: less «

  This show is so amazing that I've watched over half the series in less than a week! Just got into it last Thursday night (mostly started Friday, though) and it's been intense watching ever since. Just waiting for seasons 3 & 4 to arrive, but I've already seen seasons 1, 2 and Peacekeeper Wars, as well as a few episodes from season 3. One week. This is insane. I've never done ths before. Also, JOHN AND AERYN ARE THE CUTEST COUPLE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD AND I LOVE THEM!!!! less «

  The entire Universe conspired to make it one of the GREATEST SciFi shows ever seen! hide « show »

  This show was a disaster waiting to happen, but the entire Universe conspired to make it one of the GREATEST SciFi shows ever seen. The chemistry between the actors, the dialogues that became more than just screenwriting, the incredible costumes and puppets, amazing special effects and something more. This show is trully more than just the sum of its components, it`s more than talent, it`s more than chance. This show is sooooooo weird you can`t help but love it. It just overwhelms you. Sometimes it may seem exagerated, but then by magic it all makes sense and you`re left thinking "D`oh. That`s what`s supposed to happen." Even using an American lead amongst a primarily Australian cast gave it that little bit of ...something... needed to help create the ambiance within the show.

  Insane, dark and hilarious. hide « show »

  This is the single craziest sci-fi show I have ever seen. Farscape puts it's own twisted spin on all the classic sci-fi elements: time-travel, robots, cloning, etc. .It takes neither itself or the sci-fi genre too seriously. At times, I laughed so hard I cried. Moya's band of prisoners and an astronaut squabble over food squares, berate each other about being conned by this or that alien, and in many other forms attempt to kill or harass one another at every turn. A dysfunctional family to be sure. At first, the puppets threw me. But, by the third episode I had completely forgotten my reservations. The actors make up for it with great performances. When it comes to on-screen steam, John and Aeryn are it. No other TV pair has this kind of chemistry.

  It's just that good... Honestly, I started watching the series less than a week ago, and I'm already halfway through the series. I'd been hearing great things about it for awhile, and I always thought they were exaggerated, but I see now that I was horribly mistaken. I truly believe that this show is likely to be the best one ever created.
  
  There is just nothing to criticize, except maybe that it couldn't go on longer... And that's the fault of the network, not the show. So see? Nothing to criticize.
  
  John and Aeryn are possibly the cutest couple in all television history. I love them together!!!
  
  I also think all the actors are amazing. They put such great work into their performances and I think that definitely comes across on the show. I particularly love Claudia Black because I just think it's amazing how she can go from a character to Aeryn to one like Vala and make both seem so real! I love that she brought so much depth to Aeryn, so she became so much more than a hardened warrior, but still kept her strong and independent.
  
  As well, I love the technical aspects of the show. It seems the camera is always moving and I love the interesting uses of light. Plus, the unique look of the aliens, so most of them don't look human - like on some other shows.
  
  Truly a magnificent show!!

  Amazing hide « show »

  One of the best sci fi shows i ever watch. Story is great, characters are perfect (lol rigel!!) As usually when i first saw this show i thought its not going to be a good show, after getting the full series and watching all the seasons plus the movies i must say this show hit my number 1 spot in sci fi show favorites.
  
  Very good story, every character is great, to be honest john crichton actually got me 1 season to get used to, but after one season i asked myself, wtf was i thinking, amazing character. I fell in love with all the characters but rigel is exceptional, almost every line coming out of his mouth made me laugh. Wish they never cancelled the show, i mean the first movie isn't that good, they put too much into 1 film. Although i'm glad it explains things i was verrry disapointed and shocked when the last episode of the season said "to be continued" I recommend this show to everyone who loves sci-fi, other shows i love are babylon 5, bsg, firefly incase your wondering

  Farscape will live on forever as long as people continue to give it attention.
  They say everything that comes out for Farscape is canon as long as people will get into it and the more people who get into it the more of a chance it may return to TV. hide « show »

  Farscape will always be my top 5 favorites personally.
  It's a fantastic show with tons of messed situations and living beings. Its loaded with chaotic characters that you'll either fall madly in love with or just absolutely hate.
  
  John (the main guy) sometimes you hate him and most of the times you love him, and that's what I like about him and everyone on the show is so unique.
  
  The show is hard at first to get into. But keep watching and I promise you will get hooked into the show so deeply that you'll want to be the guy who slips through a wormhole and gets mind frelled by Scorpius.
