yeah it does seem a curious date, well year anyway. A friend of mine liked watching the Mr. Hell show and it got cancelled but he really wanted it on dvd. So he sent a letter to the producers and asked if he could buy a copy on DVD because it was never gonna get released. They charged him ten pounds and gave him a DVD of it. Naturally it wasn't all special covers and labels but it had every episode in DVD quality, it might work with Fastlane, though probabaly not because of the production company.

Look it's going to take a while to get this show on DVD. Another great show that canned far before it should have in my opinion was Twin Peaks. It took years for season one to come out on DVD...it then took another five or six years before season two comes out sometime this month. It'll eventually make it out....I hope like hell it comes out in HD to...that'd be frigging hot right there.

my feelings on this are simple if fox were to put fastlane out on dvd even five years after the show ended they will FLY off the shelfs proveing them wrong again (family guy futurama) and complety pointing out that fox is just a network of fools and even fools get lucky sometimes cuase they have put out some good shows that have hung around so i am thinking alot of the reaison why you don't see fastlane on dvd is they dont' want to be proven worng and if that really is the truth its stupid cause they would make insane money off just the one seaison dvd of fastlane and they would have made all there "losses" back and then some |

I just found a Fastlane DVD set listed on www.tvboxset.com. There are actually some links for that site on this site. Look on Page 13 of the New Products section. I just purchased the complete Adam 12 series from them today, so right now I can't personally vouch for the quality of what they sell. I can tell you that if the Adam 12 looks real good, I'll most likely buy Fastlane from them too. Check it out. |

I just googled tvboxset.com and I found alot of web sites saying it's a bad site, they said that most people who buy from them had a bod experience and you might never even get your DVD, but have to pay for it.

As an avid watcher myself, I would love to have the DVD of the series. However, I think with all the music the series used, it would prohibit such a release unless they would severely edit it. That is what is holding up the release of many of these TV series and ruined the value of others. For example, on the In Living Color DVDs, the fly girls are dancing to different music from the orginial broadcasts and the music video spoofs were left off due to copyright.

There is a news item on tvshowsondvd.com, that it will be released in the summer of 2008. Warner brothers has a good track record of keeping music intact. This is long overdue good news.
