This was quite difficult, but, I must say, I would agree with Pinkmyst.

"I would love to see Sean Hayes dance to "Footloose," Genna Davis complain Commander in Chief got canceled, and Megan Mullally sing...something funny."

However, since there were so many wonderful contributions, I elect that we give the TV Fanatic emblems to each and every person who wrote in.

Congrats to all, and, of course, more insanity to come through the regularly scheduled blog titled "Running Naked Through Hollywood," which can be found here: http://www.tv.com/features/runningnaked.html?tag=gumballs;img;0

The Emmy's red carpet was hot, and I am not just talking about the fashion! I wore a brand-new fall 2006 gold Gucci number and was thankful I went with silk.

I overheard one known TV reporter mention that someone on my crew had a thermostat that read 120 degrees. It felt that hot, but then I had to wonder why someone would bring a thermostat to the red carpet at the Emmys.

It was a full turnout minus the ladies of Wisteria Lane, and I mainly stayed over by the door leading into the Shrine Auditorium--so I knew every TV star would have to walk past it, that is, if they dared to enter. I doubted any would turn around at that point; let's face it--if they got this far and they turned back they'd have to walk past the paparazzi and camera crews. At this point makeup was guaranteed to have melted, and I saw many sweaty faces.

I bumped into Greg Itzin (24) with his three stud earrings, one diamond, one blue stone, and one ruby, which have been his staple since the pre-Emmy events began. Kiefer Sutherland (24) entered quickly, doing only a few interviews.

Evangelline Lilly was the only Lost cast member I bumped into, although she was practically running into the Shrine since Conan O'Brien was threatening to shut the doors five minutes before the beginning of the show. I wondered if they seriously would.

Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson (Grey's Anatomy) walked the red carpet together, and I was able to speak to them both. Sandra seemed genuinely excited for her costar's nomination in the same category. Isaiah Washington was there as well, with his beautiful wife, and talked about his excitement for the new fall season.

And then Conan started singing, and it was off to the backstage press room.

They served us dinner back there, a bizarre mix of penne pasta, potstickers, salad, and rolls. Billy Bush (Access Hollywood) asked if he could cut in front of me, and I happily obliged.

We watched the awards on two large flat-panel plasmas and before we knew it, award after award was handed out, and the winners were brought back into our room. I sat in the second row, front and center, about five feet from the stage.

I was able to catch a front-and-center look of Helen Mirren's "stripper shoes," which is exactly how she described them. They were quite surprising indeed, and looked like they hiked her up six inches.

My favorite moment was favorite Jemery Piven (Entourage) who held back tears as he told us what his departed father would have said to him after winning. "He'd say he was proud, very proud."

Upon leaving, I bumped into Lisa Rinna (Dancing With the Stars) who came over and complimented my dress. I thanked her and told her it was Gucci. "Can never go wrong with Gucci," she said. "It looks gorgeous!"

Well, for now my Emmys work is done; the red carpet has been rolled up and put away, and I have left the sunny city. All that is left now is talk. Talk about fashion, favorite moments, and, of course, the winners and losers.

Now off to another red carpet, at MTVs Video Music Awards this very week. Let the next party begin!

You know you are only two days away from the Emmys when the celebrities start showing up at the pre-events smiling and quite chatty. Fans of 24 and The O.C. take notice! Today I chatted with...

Gregory Itzin, nominated for Best Supporting Actor (and the top pick by TV.com readers). I spoke with him right before he headed off to play some golf at the 7th Annual Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic. It was down in Rancho Palos Verdes at the Trump (yes, The Donald) National Golf Club.

Upon arriving, I was told that The Donald would not be attending due to a scheduling conflict. I was very disappointed.

A slew of talent stopped by, including my new friend Greg (24), Joel Gretsch (The 4400), Joe Mantegna (Kim Possible), and Peter Gallagher (The OC), among many others. I didn't want to disappoint my fellow TV fans, so in the next set of upcoming videos you can see me chatting these guys up.

And just to make sure you know I am listening to your comments, I tried to get some of the stars to rap (just for you, Symlink) and tried to finagle them to give all you TV.com contributors healthy shout-outs (for you, Alexlips). And now I must leave the suspense of their responses to the video gods.

Two days to go and counting...

When you're just a regular girl plopped into Los Angeles a week before the Emmys and you need to relax and hang out, you end up jumping in the hotel roof pool at 1 a.m.

Sounds outlandish perhaps, maybe a little scandalous, but last night I did just that. I remembered a story I had heard recently where Stephen McPherson (ABC's president of entertainment), during a summer TCA press tour, jumped into the Ritz Carlton pool in his business suit. Granted, I had a different suit on--my bathing suit--but the warm water on the roof of my hotel was just what I needed. And I figured if Steve could do it, heck, so could I.

Maybe it was also the music. For some reason my hotel plays nonstop techno music. During breakfast, during lunch, on Sundays, in the elevator--it's like I'm constantly at a rave. It was the music, I tell you, that drove me into the pool.

Moving on to today, I was up early running over to the Shrine Auditorium to get a first glimpse of where we will be on Sunday during the Primetime Awards. The press tent is barely set up, but I was able to see the layout, as well as the format of where the red carpet will be. The clock counting down makes me both excited and anxious to begin the day.

Then, as you will see in the videos posted, we ran over to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to check out the schwag gift bags that the presenters and performers will receive.

Next, off to The Peninsula of Beverly Hills, where we were able to get a firsthand look at all of the Hearts of Diamonds jewelry that stars will be wearing and the makeup that will be in the touch-up room. Marc Anthony did my hair, and I had my nails done, and all of it somehow touched on the general theme of diamonds, which became my new best friend for the day.

I bumped into Kathy Griffin (My Life on the D-List) outside, who recommended the mac 'n cheese, which I tried. It was by far the best I have ever had in my entire life! I wish they were giving that out as schwag!

Then inside I stood alongside Allison Janney (The West Wing), who looked over the hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewels. She mentioned this was the first year she had decided to take everything in--the massage, the nails, the hair, everything.

Later I bumped into Michael Moloney from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which won the Emmy last weekend for best reality show. You can see a full video interview in the posting tomorrow.

Whew, that's a wrap!

With a day off from shooting, all I want is to hear from YOU. If you could see one thing during this pre-Emmy week, what would it be, what would you do, and who would you talk to?

Get as creative as you want. I'll pick one winner, who will be featured in my blog as one "Rocking TV Fanatic" and who will receive the highly coveted pre-Emmy fan emblem for his or her profile page.

Come on, now, I am expecting some fantastic comments! Submit away...
