Why are some being people so aggressive and rude? Why does being a fan of one of them imply throwing crap at the others?! I love Jim Parsons. I'm sure the others are great actors too. I'm also sure there are a lot of other great actors who aren't on this list. And I'm aware of the fact that choosing a "best actor" is something subjective, especially if you do nothing related to arts , so I can't go around telling everyone "Jim Parsons IS the best" because that' s only my opinion. It's obvious that everyone has a different opinion, since we are all at the "receiving end" of a form of art. It doesn't hurt me trying to be respectful and polite, I'm sure it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Sorry if something sounds weird, English is not my native language.moreless

Because Jim Parsons is genuinely not funny. He just plays a stereotypical common sense/social deprived genius (oxymoron I know). And if this stereotype was actually funny, congratulate the writers for making him. Not that the writers for BBT need congratulations for ruining what could have been a decent series...

My eyes are bleeding, because i saw that Jim Parsons has 38 percent of the vote. Yes, i voted Donald Glover, and ill be an unbiased fan and say that he isn't the most talented on that list. Steve Carell or Nick Offerman are, in my opinion, extremely good actors. But they don't need the help, so i went with Donald. But Jim Parsons? Really?

    just ugh.

Steve Carell, just for old times sake.

Love Steve but I went with Jim?

    Donald Glover.

His mannerisms as Troy are classic. He can play the dumb guy great, but doesn't push it over the edge too much.

I have to admit that I'm surprised it wasn't "Troy and Abed" as an option. You know, since they're pretty much an amalgam of hilarity.

Nick Offerman is genuinely funny. Donald Glover has really good material. There's a difference.

Actually, if you've ever listened to the writers of Community, they say that Donald improvs a lot of his lines. Sometimes the writers don't write certain lines for Troy because they know Donald will come up with something better. Not to dismiss Nick Offerman, who I'm sure is funny, but Donald is funny in his own right since he's a stand up comic and has written for 30 Rock. If he can write really good material, then he is genuinely funny as well.

Anyone over Nick Offerman is ridiculous. Anyone voting for Donald Glover needs to better understand the words comedic and actor then after they grab a basic concept of those words move on to understanding what a comedic actor actually is.

I actually like them both....but I like Donald Glover more because he's a writer, actor, comedian, and a rapper....but that's not what this poll is about, so a little bias in my choice. Sorry!

  • Phrosty2004

It's strange how not a single one of these guys got nominated for a Golden Globe...and Nick Offerman inexplicably only has 4% of the vote for the same reason that Parks & Rec inexplicably has such low ratings on tv.com

Jim Parsons, but Steve Carell in a close second.

The fact that Nick Offerman has only 4% pisses me off. He's so underrated, even online.

I love Jim Parsons in the Big Bang Theory, but I went with Steve Carrell, the office is hilarious. I don't understand why he only has 7% of the votes??

How does Jim Parsons still have such a large percentage of the votes? My whole brain is crying!

Yeah, Jim Parsons is clearly playing himself in TBBT.... BAZINGA! He's awesome. And there's a live audience laughing, not a laugh track. :) :D

      1. I never said the live audience thing had to do with his acting skills. I'm not sure how you got that from what I wrote. English is not my native language, sorry if punctuation, spelling and/or grammar were wrong.

      2. I've never had a problem with shows taped in front of live audineces or laugh tracks, but that's different for everyone. I respect the fact that some people just don't like them. I was just sharing a fact I know about the show.

      3. Insults? Really? So rude. Personally, I laugh when I think something is funny. My brain doesn't need someone else's laugh to decide on that, but it doesn't bother me either. Again, that's just me; everyone is allowed to experience things in different ways :) .

      Dec 31, 2011
    • LeartS

Yes, and it's one of the dumbest live audience ever "seen". They laugh for everything, even the smallest thing not funny at all, while sometime they don't laugh at subtle, clever jokes. It's like they laugh at random.

      Dec 15, 2011
    • WesleyHulsbos

How does that make him a great comedic actor? If the only reason he's funny is because he's an idiot, how does that make him great in any way?

      Dec 14, 2011
    • tossin

Does it really matter whether it's a laugh track or live audience? I've always thought either way it really interferes with the flow of the show itself.

      Dec 14, 2011
  • LeartS

    Nick Offerman only 5%

That's a real shame guys, you really should do some soul-searching.

WHO is Donald Glover, and how is he beating Jim Parsons? Has the world gone MAD???

    • Phrosty2004

Yeah, Donald Glover is a real nobody...debut album is #6 on the Billboard charts, he writes for 30 Rock and Community, stand up comedian, actor...think or at least Google before start typing

      Dec 15, 2011
    • WesleyHulsbos

      Jim Parsons: Actor

Donald Glover: Stand up comedian, actor, freelance musician, comedy writer.

That's how he's beating Jim Parsons. The world hasn't gone mad, it just recognises true talent.

      Dec 14, 2011
    • TehreemSiddiq

Donald is a talented actor, rapper and he was a writer for 30 Rock. He is a comedic genius

      Dec 14, 2011
    • LeartS

He's an actor in the NBC comedy "Community".

He's beating Jim Parsons because he's better than him (although they're both really good), Befaure Saying "Has the world gone MAD???" you should at least watch Community.

(I see both the comedies since the first episode)

Also, Community itself is better than TBBT, in particular last two seasons of TBBT.

TBBT is a lot more stupid now, just because it has to appeal to the masses,

      Dec 14, 2011
    • tossin

He's a talented comedian and actor on Community.

Also, the world went mad when we let our foot off the gas pedal and let Jim Parsons catch up. For shame, guys.
