Vampire Diaries, as an adult that show surprised me a lot!
Pretty Little Liars? For grown ups?
This one is hard, I watch both Pretty Little Liars and Awkward and they are both great, I really sorta struggled to choose but I love my dramas so had to go for PLL, though both are amazing.
I would say Awkward, PLL and Vampire Diaries would all get my vote if I could
Teen Wolf isn't bad, and I love the zaniness that IS TVD, but the winner is Awkward here.
It's such a good show. Enjoyable for both teens and "grown-ups". I also think it's one of MTV's best scripted shows in quite a while, and that it does a decent job of presenting us "oldies" with the current, teenage high-school experience (over-exaggerated, but not too much).
Where are Toddlers and Tiaras or Dance Moms when you need to vote?

Because True Blood in not a show for teens. The category is "Best Teen Series for Grown Ups". No teenager should be watching True Blood unless you want young kids basically watching vampire porn.
I know, I got the first season of True Blood from Family Video, and the first episode was pretty graphic. I said ok im not watching this.
Oh man... I watch all of them except for the vampire diaries and watch them all the time.... Really difficult decision but I'm going to have to go with Pretty Little Liars :)

I love and watch all of these shows except teen wolf, is that a bad thing? I love them all but VD is in a class of its own
The bad thing is that you haven't watch Teen Wolf! VD is in a class of its own (became my favorite show), but Teen Wolf became my second favorite show this summer. The first half of the 12-episode season is good, the second half is amazing. The second half runs a lot like VD at its best, with mysteries, shocks and surprises in every episode. You should definitely give it a try.

For grown-up? Seriously, doesn't that defy the very purpose of a tween show?
Not when you take a "tween" theme and put first-class writers and actors that take their parts story and great showrunners. Then you end up with something that SHOULD be schlock but turns out to be quite good. Think a direct-to-video release that lines up Ian McKellan, Sean Connery and Anthony Hopkins, with Clint Eastwood directing. That's what a teen series for grownups ends up doing. :-)
I really don't consider myself grown up, so I'd have no idea.

My goodness, Gossip Girl is my guilty pleasure. I would never in a million years admit to my family I like it.
vamp.diaries took a long time before a apreciate it. teen wolf, akward great shows
Don't get me wrong, I still watch "Gossip Girl" (where was that on "Guilty Pleasures"?), and "The Vampire Diaries" makes a STRONG CASE. But "Awkward" is a truly great show, and I don't want to see it shot down so early in its run, so that gets my vote.
Ugh. "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" was half decent, but WilliamTaylor3 said it best. I agree, "Reaper" was FANTASTIC!
