Love Person of Interest, New Girl and Man Up, plus Ben Bailey's new game show on NBC. Not all viewers pay for HBO etc, those should be on their own lists.

Love you Homeland, but I'm gonna have to go with Game of Thrones

Had to go with Being Human just cause it needed my vote but I do love New Girl, Game Of Thrones, Happy Endings and many others not on the list like Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Pan Am, Suburgatory, Alphas, Awkward, and many others

How can anyone be expected to choose ONE!! Game of Thrones, New Girl, & Up All Night are among the best of the year!!!! But Let's not forget WHITNEY, PRIME SUSPECT, and REVENGE! Oh AND American Horror Story on FX. This is the best year for TV in a very long time.

Man i love how they are working together..? POI is great.

New Girl is a rare comedic gem. Smart, funny, well-produced and it doesn't pander.

Reading through these comments make me laugh. Seriously people?! It's understandable that you love a show, and want it to be placed into categories you think it deserves to be in. So I can see why people might want Sons of Anarchy to be in the "best overall series of 2011" category. But do you even realize what this category is?! It's for the best NEW show! As in, a show that aired its first season this year. Sons of Anarchy has been on the air for 4 seasons now, so in no way is it a new show. What next? Asking for it to be added to the "best animated series" list?

Game of Thrones and Homeland are pretty equal for me for the best new show. But since I can only vote one, Game of Thrones gets the vote. There are plenty of top quality non fantasy shows out there, even a few top quality sci-fi shows, but I can't think of a single fantasy show that is in the same class as Game of Thrones.
