    good episode hide show

dale is sold as a slave girl to ming. barin and flash come to the rescue. ming is obsessed with prophecies that he listens to them. when barin sacrifices himself to save the lives of his people. flash feels bad for him that he figures out a plan to make ming think that he doesn't have to execute barin. the scene where flash pretends to be priest looks so funny. this episode had something in it, it feels like a full episode. the scenes inside the palace of ming is almost like a space opera, it works out well. the story feels adventurous.

Flash and Dale help Barin. hide show

Above average episode, certainly a lot better than last week's episode but still decidedly lacking in a good plot. The overall plot is OK, but the little plots that further the main plot are simply not convincing. Ming, who only a few episodes ago killed a man in cold blood for talking to his daughter, now seems to be happy to talk to Dale. By the way, Dale being presented as a new member of Ming's harem feels a little repetetive. It's the second time so far they've used this storyline.

I did like the bit about Rankol and the monks and references to Flash' fate. That was a new twist...

Flash: 'Cause you kinda like me.

  • Flash: The reason Ming is so determined to bring Barin down is the prophecy, right? He is willing to murder the Verdens because of it.
Dale: So if all is about the prophecy, what if we can change the prophecy? []
  • Aura: Our best cook has been sent to the tunnels to dig?
