UPDATE: Everything is back up and running. Thank you for your patience.
Hi everyone,
You may have noticed that all show and people forums are empty. We are working to get the information restored. Rest assured none of your data has been lost. We will update you all when the forums are back up.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Edlyn (etong87)

I don't know if this is related or not but clicking the "Become A Contributor" link on shows we edit does not work. I get a 404 error page on both Firefox (latest version and update) and Chrome.
Also, I couldn't find a "resign" page or link on the Actors I am editor of, and I had to switch from Firefox to Chrome to get to my preferences. Has the site officially crashed?
@sounddude The "become a contributor" link has been fixed for people pages, so you should be able to 'resign' from people guides. The fix for the link in show pages will be coming soon - stay tuned. Thanks.
First, the links from our dashboard to people pages defaults to the generic People page. So to get to our person page you have to do a search using the search field. Then, clicking Contributor on the people page, I still don't see anything that let's you resign as editor of that person. I looked on all pages and I can't find anything that says "Resign" as editor. If it's been moved or redesigned I'll need some help in finding where it is now. Thanks!
@sounddude Will resolve this w/ you via PM. Thanks.
I'm just really surprised that changes get made here without them having been adequately tested in-house before rollout.
Well, you've been a member since 2005. It shouldn't really come as a surprise. :)
Most likely, they can't port it to another server. As I pointed out in a previous blog, the original code was rushed and a lot of things tacked on with short notice, like unpaid staff editor capability. There's probably code that either the current developers (most of who weren't even here when the stat sited) don't understand how it works, or won't be given enough time and manpower to figure out how it works. They really need to leave the current site running and do nothing with it but maintenance, code an entirely new site from scratch, beta-test the heck out of it, and then switch us over to that. But that would cost money, and take away manpower from adding, tweaking, and fixing the things that they believe do bring them money.
But meanwhile, one of the problems that the Thursday overhaul was meant to fix, that the forums had to get bollixed, still isn't fixed. Blurbs still don't have spacing, on the actual episode pages. The Trivia & Quotes pages, yes, at least for quotes. although why people would go there when everything is currently displayed on the episode page, who knows?
@Gislef I reported the blurb spacing discrepancy to etong87 and received this reply "The fix for this is coming out in the next release, scheduled for July 30th."
Ah, I didn't see it in this blog or the last one. If only there was a place where staff could make... oh, I don't know, announcements, to the community, on a forum. PMing people one at a time seems a lot less efficient.
So they're putting out a fix, to fix the fix, that didn't fix the initial problem with the first fix?
@Gislef Are you still seeing issues with the forums? Please send me a PM explaining the issue you're having w/ them. Thanks.
Other then the one problem I PM'd you about, the major forum problems were resolved after I posted above.
@TesserT @Gislef Blurb formatting on episode overview pages will be fixed later today (not July 30th). Thanks!
@etong87 Excellent!
It looks like the blurb spacing on the main episode pages is fixed. Thanks!
How come I can't post on the forums?
Don't know if this is related....but whenever I process a submission in my editor queue, the submission stays int he queue even after I accept or reject it.
