Science
Walter and Olivia visit the "other side," and are forced to make personal sacrifices to prevent the collision of the two universes.
FBI agent Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop are faced with a rapidly spreading unexplained phenomenon of the threatening kind. In an attempt to stop the spread, they enlist the assistance of Bishop's estranged father, the institutionalized scientist Dr. Walter Bishop.
Dawson's… More Creek's Joshua Jackson plays the role of Peter Bishop, a smart guy with many gambling debts. Anna Torv (The Secret Life of Us) plays Olivia Dunham, a young, tough FBI agent who has to confront an unexplained phenomenon. Also cast in the series are The Black Donnelly's Kirk Acevedo and Boston Legal's Mark Valley as FBI agents. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King's John Noble and The Wire's Lance Reddick are also on the cast: Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop and Reddick as Phillip Broyles, a special agent for Homeland Security head of the Fringe division, that investigates terrorist and paranormal events. Alongside them are veteran actress Blair Brown and Take the Lead actress Jasika Nicole. Brown plays Nina Sharp, a veteran Chief Operating Officer of Massive Dynamic, a cutting-edge research company, while Nicole plays Astrid Farnsworth, a federal assistant.
This highly anticipated sci-fi drama was created by Transformers /Star Trek/ Mission: Impossible III's J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Fringe's pilot was directed by Emmy Award-winning Alex Graves (The West Wing) and produced by Warner Bros. Television, Bad Robot Productions and Fringe Element Films.
Please direct all general news, spoilers, speculation, etc. for season 3+ here. Basically, if it's about stuff that hasn't aired yet, and there isn't an episode discussion thread, it goes here. Thanks!
So a couple of loose ends I remember are: - Olivia's boyfriend. I never understood, personally where he standed, or why he did what he did. I thought he would be somewhat of a plot line, especially when he started appearing in Olivia's dreams... Where is he in the parallel universe - The… More tele-transported guy in jail in Germany, who teleported out of jail (and into the parallel universe maybe). I dont remember very well what happened to him, but I never quite understood who was he, what did he do.
Sorry, I didn't check there is a topic like this or not, but I'm really curious, what do you think? Could they be aliens?
Great show well written and well casted. Love Walter. hide show
This is a great show. Lots of twists and turns and just plain edge of your seat excitement. You dont know where their going with it next. I am really looking forward to this season. I sure have missed the show. I have bought season 1 on dvd and am awaiting the release of season 2. I just love it. I especially love Walter he certainly makes the show have a lighter side. It is well cast and I would make no changes in that reguard. I do hope the writers will keep up the great work and keep the sexual tension there between Olivia and Peter that is great.
I can't really say that this is the best scifi ever because I haven't seen them all. However, I can say that this is currently the best scifi on TV that is currently in production that I have seen. Less can be construed wrongly if I put it that way. This show is reminiscent of the X-Files, of which I was a loyal watcher. The dynamic energies between the characters and the plot just seem to raise it higher in my books. We are now two seasons into the series, and I have been at the edge of my seat during every episode. I look forward to next season and to discover what mysteries will be revealed.

Charlie did or didn't died? hide show
Can Anyone explain me what did happen with Charlie???
Didn't he died? In the fire when "the silver blood guy" toke his place?
Please...
Can anyine explain me?
On Season 2 he re-apear in episode 11. Season 2 Ep 11:
Outside, Charlie meets with Olivia and tells her he has FBI agents surrounding the building. She realizes that the head is at Laston-Hennings. Olivia checks her phone and gets the completed real-time feed, which reveals Charlie is the shapeshfiter. He attacks her and gets the name and then calls his fellow hybrid. Olivia attacks him but he overwhelms her until a bystander sees what's going on and enters the alley. The shapeshifter shoots him but Olivia has enough time to grab her gun and shoot him repeatedly until he dies.
I'm not sure what's worse about this show, the characters or the script, but each episode is even duller than the previous one. The dynamics of the characters are not working and the story lines are far from gripping. Within the first 15minutes you find yourself switching over.
I not surprised the show is losing rating, X-Flies was great in it's time, but this formula has been done to death now and FOX need to think about doing a new concept. The fact that the writers are pairing Olivia and Peter together shows they don't have faith in their work, the programme would be stronger if it focused on the cases rather than chemistry within the actors.
