Science
Walter and Olivia visit the "other side," and are forced to make personal sacrifices to prevent the collision of the two universes.
FBI agent Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop are faced with a rapidly spreading unexplained phenomenon of the threatening kind. In an attempt to stop the spread, they enlist the assistance of Bishop's estranged father, the institutionalized scientist Dr. Walter Bishop. Dawson's Creek 's Joshua… More Jackson plays the role of Peter Bishop, a smart guy with many gambling debts. Anna Torv ( The Secret Life of Us ) plays Olivia Dunham, a young, tough FBI agent who has to confront an unexplained phenomenon. Also cast in the series are The Black Donnelly 's Kirk Acevedo and Boston Legal 's Mark Valley as FBI agents. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 's John Noble and The Wire 's Lance Reddick are also on the cast: Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop and Reddick as Phillip Broyles, a special agent for Homeland Security head of the Fringe division, that investigates terrorist and paranormal events. Alongside them are veteran actress Blair Brown and Take the Lead actress Jasika Nicole. Brown plays Nina Sharp, a veteran Chief Operating Officer of Massive Dynamic, a cutting-edge research company, while Nicole plays Astrid Farnsworth, a federal assistant. This highly anticipated sci-fi drama was created by Transformers /Star Trek/ Mission: Impossible III 's J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Fringe's pilot was directed by Emmy Award-winning Alex Graves ( The West Wing ) and produced by Warner Bros. Television, Bad Robot Productions and Fringe Element Films.
Please direct all general news, spoilers, speculation, etc. for season 3+ here. Basically, if it's about stuff that hasn't aired yet, and there isn't an episode discussion thread, it goes here. Thanks!
J.J. Abrams created both. Which one is better?
Out of all the amazing tech this show has I find brown betty to be the most appealing.
I can't really say that this is the best scifi ever because I haven't seen them all. However, I can say that this is currently the best scifi on TV that is currently in production that I have seen. Less can be construed wrongly if I put it that way. This show is reminiscent of the X-Files, of which I was a loyal watcher. The dynamic energies between the characters and the plot just seem to raise it higher in my books. We are now two seasons into the series, and I have been at the edge of my seat during every episode. I look forward to next season and to discover what mysteries will be revealed.
Charlie did or didn't died? hide show
Can Anyone explain me what did happen with Charlie???
Didn't he died? In the fire when "the silver blood guy" toke his place?
Please...
Can anyine explain me?
On Season 2 he re-apear in episode 11. Season 2 Ep 11:
Outside, Charlie meets with Olivia and tells her he has FBI agents surrounding the building. She realizes that the head is at Laston-Hennings. Olivia checks her phone and gets the completed real-time feed, which reveals Charlie is the shapeshfiter. He attacks her and gets the name and then calls his fellow hybrid. Olivia attacks him but he overwhelms her until a bystander sees what's going on and enters the alley. The shapeshifter shoots him but Olivia has enough time to grab her gun and shoot him repeatedly until he dies.
I'm not sure what's worse about this show, the characters or the script, but each episode is even duller than the previous one. The dynamics of the characters are not working and the story lines are far from gripping. Within the first 15minutes you find yourself switching over.
I not surprised the show is losing rating, X-Flies was great in it's time, but this formula has been done to death now and FOX need to think about doing a new concept. The fact that the writers are pairing Olivia and Peter together shows they don't have faith in their work, the programme would be stronger if it focused on the cases rather than chemistry within the actors.
Best paranormal show since XFiles. Great plot twists, great charachter development, it gets on all cylinders. Fringe has a great Sci Fi component, from the believable to the not so believable, but its all done in great fun and excitement. hide show
Best paranormal show since XFiles. Great plot twists, great charachter development, it gets on all cylinders. Fringe has a great Sci Fi component, from the believable to the not so believable, but its all done in great fun and excitement. They keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more, even if its an "out there" episode. They do just enough character development to make you really care and wait for the next week!
I am not a huge sci fi lover, but I definitely love fringe! I love the characters... all of them! Theyve done a great job brining it all together, and this season did a great job answering questions just enough to keep you asking for more!
Wether you like sci fi, romance or drama, youll find a bit of it all!! I cant wait for next season!!
It's a good show. But evil twins and formulaic romance detract. hide show
It's a good show when it sticks to this world and what's happening here. They have interesting views of science and some weird tech. And I like the characters. Especially at their funny and quirky moments. But I don't like the crossover episodes because I don't like mixing the evil twins with the ones I already like. But that's just me. I also don't like the boring formulaic romance. Every TV show in the history of the world makes the couple dance and dance around each other but they never get together and stick. What is so wrong with a little art reflecting reality once in a while? If people didn't commonly get into long term relationships then the human race would have disappeared long ago. So why not write that?
