In the show, it seems as if Jesse and the Beach Boys are colse friends because they don't just show up in this episode an in season 2 and 3 but in future seasons. (edit) This is the third time the Beach Boys (Mike Love and Bruce Wilson for this episode) showed up in person at the Tanner house. The first time was "Beach Boy Bingo", where all 5 Beach Boys appear, and the second was "Our Very First Telethon", where only Mike Love appears. (edit)

Joey: (after singing Forever with the Beach Boys) Man, that is such a cool song. I sang that to Becky at our wedding. I'll tell you, if I had a hit song like Forever, I bet you Fat Fish Music would sign us like that.

Mike Love: Sure, if Becky keeps cooking up good food like this.

Danny: Mmmm......and olives. (edit) Becky: I have an idea. Tomorrow, how about if you, me, and the boys spend the day together? We can come down to the station, the Beach Boys will be there.....come on, honey, they're your friends.
Jesse: No, I don't want to hang out with the Beach Boys. They had hit records when they were 18. I'm almost 30, and I've got nothing.
Becky: Jess, life isn't a contest. Honey, things happen when they're supposed to. (edit) Jesse: (Trying Michelle's recipe) Michelle what's this?
Michelle: Tuna Cream.
Jesse: That's tuna and....?
Michelle: Oreo Ice cream. (Jesse spits it out.) (edit) Michelle: I'm never gonna get my cookie badge!
Jesse: Aw, come on. Sure you will. I mean, maybe tuna cream isn't one of the 31 flavors, but you gotta keep on trying, you know? You gotta have perseverance.

In this episode, it appears that DJ is quite an enthusiastic and competent Spanish student--so much so that she is considering studying in Barcelona. She's apparently come a long way since Season 2's El Problem Grande de DJ three years ago, when she hated Spanish and got poor grades in the subject. (edit)
