Notes

add »
The name of the telethon Danny's hosting is "We Love Our Children Telethon 90". (edit)
This is the second apperance of Mike Love from the Beach Boys, the first one was in Beach Boy Bingo, in season 2. (edit)
For some reason, ABC Family skips Stephanie's line saying the phone number to call. However, ABC Family does show the part of her line where she yells her friends names. (edit)
This will be the last episode to be title: "Our Very First Something" just like these titles: Our Very First Show, Our Very First Night, Our Very First Promo, Our Very First Christmas Show, and of course: Our Very First Telethon. (edit)

(Joey is singing the song "Janie's Got a Gun" by Aerosmith and making a weird face as he does this)
Joey: "Janie's got a gun. Janie's got a gun. He jacked a little bitty baby..."
Jesse: (waving his hand to stop the band) Stop it! Becky, please do something before he starts doing Tina Turner! (edit)
Kimmy: Mr. T, I brought my unicycle. If you need me, I'm ready to ride.
Danny: That's very sweet of you to offer and gosh darn, Kimmy, if this show wasn't supposed to be entertaining you would be right in there. (edit)
Danny: Oh, good, Joey, what's in the doughnut bag?
Joey: The doughnuts.
Danny: Great. Doughnuts go on the doughnut table.
Joey: It's a good thing I ran into you. (edit)
Mr. Strowbridge: Tanner, I gave you 24 hours on my station, because I have total confidence in you. NOW, DON'T SCREW THIS UP!
Danny: Don't worry, Mr. Strowbridge. Everything's under control.
Mr. Strowbridge: Then how come you're not wearing any shoes?
Danny: Oh, that's because I wanted to impress you with my brand-new designer socks. WARDROBE! (edit)
Danny: Kiss today good-bye.
Rebecca: Maybe we should do this later.
Danny: No! We do what we have to do. And I can't regret...
Rebecca: Oh, you're gonna regret this.
Danny: What I did for love. What I did for love.
Danny and Rebecca: Gone. Love is never gone. As we travel on, Love's what we'll remember.
Danny: Kiss today good-bye.
Rebecca: Kiss my career good-bye.
Danny: Point me toward tommorow.
Rebecca: Point me toward the exit!
Danny: Wish me luck. Same to you.
Rebecca: Yeah, the same to you, fella.
Danny: Oh, I can't forget, won't regret, What I did for love. What I did for love. What I did for...
Danny, Rebecca, and Joey: Love! (edit)

Trivia

The close-up shots of the audience at the telethon are always entertaining to watch. Some of the extras in these scenes, particularly those in the back row, really get into it, and they're waving their arms wildly and yelling. (edit)
In the teaser scene for this episode, Michelle (played here by Ashley Olsen) tiptoes into the living room, covers Danny's eyes with her hand, and says, "Daddy, guess who?" You can totally tell that someone is on the side, demonstrating the scene for Olsen, because she keeps looking behind Danny. This would make sense, since Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have said in previous interviews that when they were really little, their acting coach would say the line and have them parrot it back, and then the coach's voice was edited out in production. (edit)
When Stephanie runs up to Jesse and Joey and suggests that she do her "Love Shack" dance to get over the current slump in the telethon, her curls have clearly lost a lot of bounce. However, one minute later, when she is dancing, her hair is a lot curlier, as if the two scenes were filmed in opposite order. (edit)

"Exciting"
This was on of my favortie episodes because it really showed the Tanner family coming together to fun a telethon, and everyone of the Tanner household participated in making it a great show, even though the host "Danny" fell asleep, even Michelle helped!!

"Silly"
Basically this episode is very funny. Danny's the host of "We Love Our Children Telethon 90" and falls asleep on the air, but like we all know, the rest of the Tanners help out and take over as hosts.
