The cast has a mini-reunion on the set of America's Funniest Home Videos, which is hosted by Bog Saget, who played Danny Tanner on Full House.
Full House ran for eight seasons and was one of the few primetime sitcoms to have more than 190 episodes. This show is kinda good, kinda not. I think the people who like this show are children, or those who watched it growing up and still like {nostalgia purposes}. But to me this show isn't that good, and neither are the plots. The show isn't very funny IMO. A lot of episodes are too dramatic, which isn't bad, but none of them interest me a whole lot. The acting, especially for say Michelle, is pretty bad. Of course, she is the baby, but she isn't that good, she's better in movies and stuff now.
Overall grade for the series- C, which to me, is about average.
Danny Tanner, whose wife has recently died, invites his brother-in-law Jesse and childhood friend Joey to live with him and take care of his three daughters. hide show
This was a decent show. The lines weren't always as funny as the laugh track thought they were, but the show, overall, but pretty good. Also, some of the characters, usually one or two or even all of the three girls, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle, would make some sob story out of nothing. Overall, the three guys were good. Danny, if he was my dad in real life, would be really embarassing, but on the show as an actor, he was pretty cool and funny. His friend since childhood, Joey, was pretty funny with him and his talent to immitate so many different people and characters. Jesse, Danny's brother-in-law, was good. He was funny, too, for his obsession with Elvis and his hair. Becky, who he eventually got married to, was okay, but she wasn't one of the best characters on the show. Kimmy, DJ's best friend and Danny and Jesse's worst nightmare, was decently funny, and she had her good times. Steve, DJ's boyfriend for a long time, was a respectable man and I liked to see him and Danny get along, but unfortunately, that wasn't all the time. So overall, this show was pretty good. The only reason that I would guess it would get bad reviews during it's early run was that the characters would overexagerate some things and make a sad story out of nothing.
Corny show, but I kinda like it. hide show
Even though I own every episode on DVD, I've got to admit that it's not one of the better shows to run in the nineties. The show could be very predictable, and most of the jokes they used were cheesey. And a few of the plots could be a little babyish sometimes but there were some out there that were pretty OK. I had some problems with this show. For one thing they included too many touching moments and it's like in almost every episode, it involved hugging and some comforting words from Danny. Another thing I didn't like was Michelle. Sure, she was cute, don't get me wrong, but she was obsessed and overused. Worst of all, the writers made her such a brat. Sometimes the girls (all of them) could be brats. And this show had sometimes acted like an advice giving show cause in just about every one, Danny gave obvious advice to his daughters. But, I will admit, Full House was a funny show even if the jokes could be corny. And I wish the series finale would've been better, but all in all, this was a good, but cheesey, show. Final Grade: 75/100.
Don't let nostalgia cloud your mind...this show was horrible hide show
This has to be one of the worst sitcoms that I have ever seen in my life. In fact, I don't even know why this is called a sitcom. It wasn't even funny. Every episode was like this: One of the girls does something bad, the dad has a talk with the girl, this awful sappy music plays, the dad says that he loves the girl anyways and then he gives her a hug and the audience goes "Aww!". Come on, where is the comedy in that? I watch sitcoms to laugh, not to be preached at. If this show was around nowadays, it probably wouldn't even last a whole season. Not to mention, the acting was horrible, the writing was juvenile and the plots were pretty much the same in every episode. Quite frankly, if you seen one episode, you have seen them all. If you are under 12, you might like this show. Other than that, avoid this like the plague.
Danny, Joey, and Jesse take care of three girls: DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle. But always annoying them is neighbor Kimmy, best friend to DJ. hide show
