Slicer - Younger Brother: Listen to us! I'm sure it seems very noble, but you don't understand how cruel it really is. Teasing us. Calling us human when we can only live in this twisted form... making us rememeber what we've lost. That... is truly inhumane. (edit)
Number 66: I kill therefore I am! (edit)
Gluttony: Can I eat them now?
Lust: I don't know. I think the armored one might give you indigestion. (edit)
Ed: Yeah, you're right. But, you see ... I'm no ordinary alchemist... (edit)

I kill, therefore, I am!:
This declaration by Number 66 is a slight modification to a quote made famous by the French philosopher Rene Descartes. After spending many months in isolation, Descartes came to the conclusion that because he could think, that action alone was proof enough that he did in fact exist in the world. This conclusion spawned the quote "I think, therefore, I am!", which Number 66 modifies to explain his "proof of existence" to Al.

Superb
The Red Glow
"Character development"
The return of a presumed dead character, the proper introduction of an important new character and some much-needed backstory for another character make for a highly compelling dramatic episode.
