Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • By supplying Troy & Dillon with a Viper, Xavier apparently maroons himself on Earth. []
  • Jeremy Brett takes over the role of Xavier from Richard Lynch in this episode. Adama gives an explanation for his changed appearance (and that of Dr. Zee) by stating that Galacticans had some success with epidermal tranformation. Mr. Brett is also seen as the 'real' Lt. Nash standing beside Adama when he communicates with Troy and Dillon. []
  • During the baseball game one of the Cougar players was announced as Frank Lupo Jr. Frank Lupo was the writer and producer of this show. []
More Trivia
  • Goof: Trapped in space, Troy says that they only have eight hours of normal breathing oxygen left, but can increase that by 30% if they enter sleep mode, and he makes it seems like this is a significant amount of time. However, it's only an additional 144 minutes, or less than 2.5 hours. Plus after they agree to alternate sleep cycles, Troy says he will wake up in 8 hours. That hardly seems like an even split of approximately 10 hours. []
  • Goof: Since Adama really wanted the Galactica children to assimilate themselves in Earth's culture, perhaps he should have had them use names like Billy or Tammy instead of going by their real but obviously strange names such as Moonstone and Starla. []
  • Adama: (to Xavier/Nash) If I concede to your demands, then how often will you attempt to hold a similar threat over our heads? I can only hope that you will see how useless it would be to harm these innocent people to achieve your end. You will never escape our justice...
Xavier/Bash: Goodbye, Adama. You have condemned the children to death! []
  • Umpire : Ok, kids, everyone but the captain hit the bench!
(The Scouts run over and start hitting the dugout bench with their gloves)
Billy : ( seeing this) Hey, what are they doing?
Scout : ( pointing in the direction of the umpire ) We're doing just what he said.... []
  • Camera Man: ( pointing towards one of the Scouts ) That kid's got an arm like Nolan Ryan ! What's going on?
Jamie: The child is a genetic mutation.
    Camera Man: A what ?
Jamie: Once in a lifetime thing... the kid can throw a ball through a tank at half a mile. []

Allusions

  • Monopoly:
After Mr. Brooks tells Jamie to go to the baseball camp for her story, she says she will after she makes one stop, and he tells her "You're to go right right to the camp, you do not stop." The cameraman finishes by saying "You are not to pass Go. You are not to collect two hundred dollars." This is an obvious reference to the board game Monopoly. []
