  • What do you like to grow?

This is only my second year of gardening, but so far I have the following things actually growing... Strawberries, chamomile, mint, carrots, onions, pansies, parsley, lambs ear, rock soapwart, asiatic lillies, columbine, blue lupine, and mums. What are some of your favorite things to grow?

This is a great show for the person who likes to garden, but doesn't want to get too technical. hide « show »

This show has been around for at least five years that I recall. I used to watch it in Germany on my satellite dish from NBC-International. The host, Paul James, is a down-to-earth guy and offers tips and useful information for people who like plants and trees but don't want to overdo it with technical stuff. There are a lot of do-it-yourself projects introduced, which save a lot of money versus having a professional come over. Paul James is honest about his show, though, and will come out and say if the viewer might be better off hiring a pro. I appreciate this fact. I've been doing container gardening for many years, and he's not telling me very many new things, but he's amusing and entertaining and it's a pleasant way to spend 30 minutes.
