On any list like this, there's just no topping Firefly. In the history of television has a better show ever gotten a worse screwing? I think not.

Dark Angel was a good show, especially since it was so different from everything else.

Stargate Atlantis should have gotten one more season so they could have given it a better ending.

Heroes could quite logically and happily have gone on for years. What it really needed was better writing. (Seriously, Jeph Loeb? Really? Come on.) Instead, NBC gave up on a great open-ended setting full of potential and then they... milk the Law and Order franchise's recycled plots for probably another 20 years... brilliant.

But no, we can't have anything original with good characters. We need more room for 40 cop/doctor/lawyer shows and more cheap "reality" tv.

I don't know if that would qualify as "Cancelled," since the Doctor's Back now. Just think of it as a "Really Long Hiatus!" LOL

I'll add my disappointment about Firefly. I thought that was a great show, and the movie was good, but way too rushed. I would've liked to see things develop over time. Same with Jericho. The second season was approved only to satisfy fans. That story would've taken a couple more seasons to develop. I'm glad there was some closure to both these shows, even though it wasn't entirely satisfying. At least it's better than NO resolution like Carnivale or Deadwood (one of my favourite shows of all time).

And what about shows that went on TOO LONG?

    Prison Break

    Heroes

    Remington Steele

    Survivor

    Happy Days

    Dukes of Hazard

I really liked Big Shots, The Deep End, and Eastwick. All were on ABC and got cancelled before they even finished a season. Bummer

    Stargate Atlantis
    Stargate Universe

SGA was just getting into the darker side of things and had to rush a wrap up and SGU was getting its footing when Syfy killed it like all other sci-fi on their channel, just sad.....

stargate atlantis- 5 seasons is generaly a good run but the show could have had another good season or 2

star trek the original series- it was supposed to be a 5 year mission and only 3 seasons for something this good, this show should have had another 2 seasons

farscape- frellin' awesome, can't wait for the web series

invisible man(made in around 2000)- very obviously could have continued, and scifi channel not letting UPN purchase it, sounds like a FOX thing to do

firefly- of couse it was great

starhunter and then starhunter 2300- both good but 2300 my personal favorite, the network could have at least made a few extra episodes to give it a proper ending instead of a cliffhanger, i'm still wondering about the whole hyperspace thing

    dark angel- another cliffhanger

deepwater black( known here in the USA as mission genesis)- since finding the show is so dificult, i'd settle for a dvd release

    life

    life on marsUSA

    bionic woman(2nd version)

    twilight zone(3rd version)

another 1 is stargate universe, another totally f*cked up act of cancelation.
