My "guilty pleasure". This show is pretty fluff but it's very entertaining and well made fluff. hide show
Usually I prefer my supernatural shows either sci-fi or camp - or both. Ghost Whisperer is a "girly" show, helping ghosts to get into the light and resolving emotional issues. The supernatural premise and likeable characters make it a better than average drama though. This show is a tearjerker on purpose and I think it does its job well.
I never was a Love Hewitt fan though I have to admire her figure and her hair ;). Her character is rather silly too but somehow you still end liking her and hoping the best for her. The supporting cast is also great. Sometimes I do wonder why they never seem to have other friends or relatives anywhere but that's very common for any show, they keep the focus on the main characters and give a short introduction to people who suddenly "pop out of nowhere".
What I like about the most in the show is how the writers have actually managed to captivate an interesting and exciting main plot. While some of the random ghost-of-the-week stories do seem like a terrible fluff, actually following through a season or more has some really deep drama and thriller there.
This show turned out to be much better than I anticipated and I wouldn't have passed on it earlier if I hadn't had some prejudice towards JLH.
I'm totaly addicted to this show.I've seen the similar shows,but this one is special.Is it becouse of mystery,love story or good actors...I don't know. hide show
I'm hoping there's a chance for new seasson P.S. It would be nice to see reall Jim back somehow.
It's very romantic that Jim was prepare to do anything to be with her,and that is definition of thrue love for me,but it' strange how did all this happened and that he has mix of two person's inside and different emotiones.
I din't know,maybe there's way to bring the old Jim back. I don't have idea,but...
I belive there are lots of more suprises and in this show almost everything is possoble,so I'm hoping there's a chance for lots of new episode's and fun stuff

The episodes are sooo good!they should have at least moved it to a different network because not a lot of people watch cbs, mostly they pay attention to nbc or abc or even fox! hope somebody else offers jennifer a deal like this show on a different network! she is a great actress! they cancelled and lost a lot of viewers!

I started watching "Ghost Whisperer" about 4 months ago and now I can admit that I 'm totally hooked on it ! The cast is composed of some very talented actors and actresses !!
Almost every episode is full of suspense and viewers' feelings are changing all the time !
The interest never ends !
I wish more tv series were on tv like this one!
Of course , Jennifer Love Hewitt is a huge part of this success. Her happiness and her kind character as Melinda and as J. Love are unique !
I hope many more seasons come out the following years...

Just started watching hide show
I've avoided watching this show. I was never sure if it would hold my interest. I ended up watching it on the WE channel and i have to say I love this show. it is supernatual witch i love and it has some good story lines. They did kind of confuse me with the whole jim dying in the re runs i have been watching but in the new ones they have a kid. a five year old at that. I had to go online to get the story line for this year since i have missed it. But i am looking forward to watching what the writers come up with next.
