After Gilligan finds the wrecks of two vintage WWII planes on the island they attempt to salvage the planes and leave for Hawaii. They are forced to abandon their flight after it does not go as planed. Their short flight does, however, attract the attention of the Navy who rescues them. With the help of Mr Howell they turn the island into a primative resort.

While the Castaways attempt to rehabilitate him, he ends up leaving the island, accompanied by Mrs. Howell's pearl necklace, Mr. Howell's wallet, and Ginger's earrings!
While fishing, Gilligan and the Skipper reel in a briefcase, stamped with the words "Property of the U.S. Government."
