Richard takes Rory and Lorelai to Yale. Brilliant episode, Jess and Rory are together. hide show

This was a brilliant episode, we had Rory and Jess finally getting together and the trip to Yale was very entertaining.
The awkwardness between Rory and Jess was done very well and was enjoyable. The way the kept saying hi all the time. I thought Luke's reaction to it was great, he liked the idea but gave Jess ground rules anyway, that was a great, funny scene. Amusing how he interrupted them before they kissed.

The end when they did finally kiss, your satisfied because it finally happened. Good how they both liked it but Rory had to see Dean, who was very bitter, wonder if we'll see much of him anymore. Jess's comments throughout were funny, as always. I actually thought Emily was amusing in this episode, with the whole salad thing and when she talked about early Richard.

It was interesting to hear stories of Emily and Richard when they were young, Lorelai reacted with some great one liners. You felt sorry for Rory who was made to do an interview. He was out of line when Lorelai said she didn't have to but he insisted. Lorelai and his fight was right and I think he should have backed down, Emily not knowing was a good addition to it.

I was glad that when Rory left the meeting she gave out to Richard, then Emily went at him 'Don't even look at me' funny. Even more interesting is that at the end both Lorelai and Rory are looking at the Yale booklet, does this mean there interested? Who knows!

The beginning of Jess and Rory and a trip to Yale hide show

This episode takes place right after the dancemarathon when Dean and Rory broke up. So Rory and Jess have admitted that they like each other but they aren't together yet. The episode began with Lorelai and Rory barely being able to walk. I guess that's what you get when you enter a 24 hour dancemarathon. Anyway they go to Luke's as always and run into Jess. The 'hi' moment was very funny and uncomfortable. Luke learns that Jess and Rory are an item now and is very happy about it because he hopes that Rory will have a good influence on Rory. Lorelai on the other hand is just going with the flow.

They go to fridaynight dinner wich has a great moment with Emily complaining about the maid. ("I'm going to fire someone over putting walnuts in the salad after she was told not to put walnuts in the salad.")
Rory goes to the kitchen and Richard follows and wonders if she wants go to Yale on a trip. Rory says yes. Later she tells Lorelai and she has a feeling that Richard is manipulating Rory but she still agrees to go.

The next day Rory goes to Luke's and she runs into Jess. After a couple of uncomfortable moments they go upstairs and as they are about to kiss Luke enters (very loudly) and Rory goes. Luke makes it clear to Jess how he has to treat Rory. Which I think was one of the funniest conversations in Gilmore Girls.

A week later they go to Yale and Richard is giving them a tour. He even shows the place where he proposed to Emily (next to the trash can, how romantic). Everything seems to go well and every Gilmore has a good time untill they enter the administration building and it turns out that Richard arranged an interview for Rory. Turns out Lorelai was right. Rory goes on the interview but is not very happy about this because he didn't tell her and she likes to be prepared. After an argument Rory and Lorelai leave and go back to Stars Hollow.

They go to Luke's and after using the kids code Rory and Jess go outside and have their first kiss as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Before Rory goes home she drops by Dean's house and apologizes for the way she treated him. He however is very bitter and doesn't forgive her. Back home Rory and Lorelai go to bed after a very long day and they read a Yale brochure. It looks like they are reconsidering Yale after all.

    a special one hide show

OK this one starts after the marathon, the girls can't stay up...

There are some new developments. Kirk is showing around his trophy (someone steals it later, like every year), Jess and Rory are together and is weird at first and Richard is going to have a dinner at Yale and invites Rory to go a see the campus.
I was liking the visit, they went to some places where Ricard and Emily had been when they where young, the place where he proposed, Lorelai and Rory even heard the story about Emily stealing Richard from some other girl. Everything went just fine until they got into the administration building. Richard made an appointment with a n old friend, the Den of Admissions.
They are all caught with surprise, Richard lied to all and Rory goes in. Lorelai and Richard have a discussion and she calls a cab, when Rory comes out she is angry with Richard and her and Lorelai leave.

Passing to another subject, Jess and Rory have their first kiss as a couple, I think it felt weird for her, she left and went to see Dean...

Despite the discussions, both Gilmore girls go to bed and both read the Yale's pamphlet.

Lets wait for the next one.

    10 Perfect

This takes place after the dance marathon. Jess & Rory and now together and for a while its very awkward between them. Kirk's statue is stolen (just like every year). Luke talks to Jess about him dating Rory. Rory & Jess have their first kiss as a couple. hide show

Hands down, my favorite episode. It is very well written and there is alot of funny and sarcastic comments that are made in this episode. The fact that Rory and Jess are finally together makes it even more exciting. Seeing them have their awkward moment in Luke’s apartment, having Luke interrupt them and then Rory dashing out makes it very exciting and makes you wonder what will happen next. But my favorite part in this episode was Rory and Jess's first kiss as a couple, very romantic and sweet.
This in my opinion is one of the best episodes and when this episode airs next I suggest that you watch.
