With graduation looming, Rory is anxiety-ridden over her future, so Lorelai tries to cheer her up with a day of eating and shopping. Lorelai notices happily that Luke is once again wearing the baseball cap she gave him, and invites him to join her and Rory for karaoke night at a local bar. After a few drinks, Lorelai takes the stage to sing a heartfelt number which is obviously directed at Luke. Logan returns from a business trip to California and comes to see Lorelai to discuss his future with Rory.
Read Full Recap » (warning: possible spoilers!)I LOVE this episode, especially when Lorelai sings, she is so GOOD!! It is just so beautiful, and sad, and sweet. You can tell that there is something there. hide show
This episode is so cool. I like Rory's dream, Paris and Doyle's kids are so cute! I love that Logan asked for Lorelai's permission, it was so nice, and Lorelai was speechless for the first time in a long time. And i LOVED the Kareoke night. Patty and Babette are really good singers, but Kirk could use a LOT of work! I think Lulu was the only one who enjoyed it, and that's proberly only because she's his girlfriend, or she's tone deaf. But i LOVE Lorelai!! She's a really good singer! I love the song that she choose, the Lyrics just described the situation and what she was really feeling so well. At first she was being a bit silly, but when Luke walked in, she acted unnerved, but then she just locked eyes with him, and her voice was really emotional, and sort of tremerd, and you could tell that she was really putting all of her feelings into it, especially when she sang "but abouve all i wish you love." It was just so sad and sweet and emotional and romantic, i felt like crying. And the next morning, when Rory said "sometimes you just gotta let your feelings out", and you could see that Lorelai agreed, and i think that that described the situation perfectly.
A fantastic episode..!! :) hide show
Wow, it's now official, season 7 just keeps getting better and better towards the end. I really liked this episode, it had all the fun of a normal GG-epi, but also a lot of emotional stuff. First of all, I really liked that Lane is so grown up now, and even though you could tell that she really wanted to go on tour with Zack, she realised it wasn't possible with the babies, and still let him go... Awww, they are just so perfect together... :)
Rory is really bummed that she doesn't know what she is going to do after graduation, and I kinda like that she didn't get that fellowship. She is much to used to getting precicely what she wants. And I thought it was really good to see Rory matter again. I've said this over and over, but I think Rory has been so blah this season, so I really liked her in this episode... :)
The song Lorelai sang was just perfect, I loved how she changed the way she sang it when Luke entered, and you could tell that he realised it too... They just have to get back together soon!! :) And off course the end where Logan asks Lorelai for her blessing of him marrying Rory... Aww... He's just so nice... :)
join stars hollow for karyoke night..lorelais singing to luke_kriks doing weird and disturbing AGAIN_patty and babette entertain us_ and logan continues to surprise us!! hide show
lorelai takes the stage_completly drunk_in order to cheer rory up about losing the job shes been wanting. enter luke; lorelai sees him and intantly locks eyes with him and continues to sing as the words "i will always love you" flow out in a way that will make you cry. :D luke watches her as she sings and they share a moment together. and "evryone" sees it too! the next day she is grilled about insisting that it meant nothing. logan comes to lorelai and asks a very "special" question...he wants to marry rory. lorelai takes a walk to calm down and relax after that and goes to watch "kirk in a box"..and runs into luke where they share a nice moment.
I think this was the best episode in seven years, it was full of emotional scenes. Lorelai sings and in the meanwhile, luke comes and sees lorelai. I was so glad to hear a song from lorelai, i think she has a good voice. I will always love you was a good choice and lorelai sang this song by looking at luke's eyes. This was a step of beginning of their relationship. At the end of the episode, there is a surprising event as logan asks permission to marry rory from lorelai and it makes us wait some dramatic changes in their lives.
Great Episode. Lorelai has a little too much to drink and sings " i will always love you " thats enough said to make you love the episode. hide show
Starts off with Rory finally admitting to her mom and grandparents that she didn't get the job at the New york times. a little later on we find out she didn't get the job at the Chicago Sun times either. So this leaves Lorelai with a whole lot of cheering up to do. Luke and Lorelai seem to be making strides in their relationship, right until Lorelai has a one too many shots and ends up singing a Whitney Houston classic to Luke in front of most of the town. Episode ends with Logan asking Lorelai's permission to marry Rory. all in all, good episode.
