Lorelai receives a late wedding present without a card attached, and insists that it be returned. Sookie sees to what great lengths Lorelai is going to find out who sent it, and tells Lorelai to move forward in life to get some closure on her relationship with Max. Lorelai takes her advice and accepts a dinner date with Paul, one of the other students in her business class. When Paul stops by the diner, both the town and Luke react to Lorelai's dating decision.
Rory, Paris, Madeline and Louise are assigned to present the death scene from "Romeo and Juliet" as part of their class participation in the Chilton Shakespearean Festival. Paris takes over as director and assigns Rory the role of Juliet. Tristan returns to school with Duncan and Bowman after their suspension, and is cast as Romeo against Rory's wishes.

Lorelai dates a younger guy from her business class. Great episode. hide show

This was great, I was glad to see Tristan go, as I think he is just too much of an ass to stay (I think he left to do One Tree Hill anyway) Lorelai dating the younger guy thing was enjoyable. He did seem older when she spoke to him at her class, but when he came to the diner, he was acting like he was 18. It was amusing to see Sookie, Luke and most of Stars Hollow so amused about this.

The ice-cream maker thing at the start was good, funny with Sookie and Rory saying that Max would let them keep it. It was then entertaining to watch Lorelai calling people to see who sent it, the woman who said that Lorelai was acting against the bible was funny, though we didn't hear it. Another funny thing was when she named the machine, and then named other things.

Michel and Sookie's thing over the blueberry pancakes was amusing, Michel can be a great character. The whole Romeo and Juliet thing was interesting and entertaining. It was good to see Dean so jealous of Tristan, Rory's panic over him finding out about the kiss was done well. As was Paris's need to get the play done well.

The other guy, Brad I think it was, I liked seeing him being so nervous, amusing once again. Tristan was shown to be a jerk, especially when he went into the shop, just to taunt Dean. I was glad that he didn't get mad at Rory. Then Tristan spoke about the kiss in front of Dean, who think that he's just playing games with Rory.

These are some of the reasons why I didn't get why he and Rory were friendly at the end. I couldn't care less that he was being sent away, I know Rory is a nice person, but he did cause her a lot of grief. When he called her Mary at the end and she smiled, I get why this was done but .... didn't seem right.

Lane and Henry were enjoyable, the phone conversations etc. Sookie telling Lorelai that Luke likes her was a nice scene, wish Lorelai would just get that. The end scene between herself and Luke was ... sweet and one of the many hints that they should be together.

No Jess ... I am interested to see how he and Rory's relationship goes. Look forward to more.

    Great! hide show

Rory and her classmates are assigned to do a Romeo and Juliet bit in a different style. She gets grouped with Paris, Louise, Madeline, Brad and Tristin. When Paris announces that they will rehearse in Stars Hollow, Rory panics that Tristin will tell Dean about their kiss. Lane has secret phone conversations with Henry. Lorelai goes on a date with a younger man, but she doesn't think it will work out. He shows up in Stars Hollow and everyone makes fun of her, including Luke. Sookie tells Lorelai that Luke has a thing for her. Dean watches Rory's rehearsals because he is jealous of Tristin. Tristin is being sent to military school by his parents.

This episode was great! I love the part with Michel and Sookie with the pancakes! It was so funny! I missed Jess though. This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10!

Romeo and Juliet, what a play. hide show

A delay present come to the Gilmore Girls house...

Rory gets to play Juliet and Tristin Romeo at a school play in Chilton, so Dean doesn't like it.

And Lorelai goes out with a younger guy from her classes. When he appears at Stars Hallow with his parents and runs into Lorelai at Luke's, the word is out and everybody knows about the casual date.

We get to see the look on Luke's face.

The show is on Sunday and Tristin shows up to say he can't be Romeo because his dad took him from Chilton, he was cought robbing a friend father's safe.

So Paris has to play Romeo and the play is great.
At the end, Lorelai says she doesn't understand Luke, he can be so sweet sometimes and the oposite others and Sookie tells her that that's because he likes her and he must think that Lorelai would date everyone, even a younger guy, but not him.

They go to the diner and she talks with him

Rory plays Juliet and Tristan plays Romeo in a school play. This cause some friction between Rory, Tristan and Dean. Lorelai goes out with a younger guy. Luke gets jealous and hurt. Sookie clues Lorelai in to Luke's feelings. hide show

I really enjoyed this episode. It was a bit annoying seeing Tristan try to be the bad boy. At the end, you saw that he was just a troubled kid who really liked Rory. Rory and Tristan have a sweet moment with Dean watching before Tristan leaves the show for good. Throughout the episode, Tristan was trying to provoke Dean. He was loving every moment of being Romeo to Rory's Juliet. It was so funny that in the end, Paris had to play Romeo! That was killer!

It was so funny that this guy from Lorelai's business class that Lorelai goes out with shows up in Stars Hollow at Luke's Diner looking like a young school boy with his parents. That scene was so bizarre when he was at Luke's! As always, I love love love seeing Luke's vulnerability and his obvious infatuation with Lorelai. When he overhears Rory tell Dean that Lorelai went on a date, he was clearly distraught. I felt so bad for him. I love the very end, after the play, they all go back to Luke's and Lorelai tries to make Luke understand that she really counts on his friendship and that she hopes that they can always be there for each other. That was the best part of the episode for me! All of a sudden, you see Luke light up - at least he knows that Lorelai considers him an important person in her life.

Obe of my favorite and personal the funniest episode. hide show

I love this episode in amny ways mostly because it is definetly one of the funniest.

A great example is the blueberry pancakes part with Michel and Sookie. "are there 12 blueberries?" it is just a hilarious part which is a classic Michel moment.

Another one of my favorite parts is when Rory and Loreali are role playing for Rory to talk to Dean. Lorealis Dean voice is great. I love when she does the part about the cool hair.

Another great moment is after Lorealis date comes to the diner and everyone make sfun of her. Especially Rory who says "I always wanted a littel brother" & with Lukes reaction i just love it.

And to finish off this hilarious episode Paris plays Romeo!!!

Rory: Definitely not a soul mate.

    Rory: Wow.
