Luke's ex-girlfriend Rachel arrives in Stars Hollow unexpectedly, and immediately picks up on the attraction between Luke and Lorelai, which they deny. Rachel decides to stay for awhile, which leaves Luke and Lorelai with mixed feelings. Lorelai and Rory are amazed when Emily agrees to excuse Rory from Friday night dinner so that Rory and Dean can celebrate their three month anniversary. When Lorelai arrives for dinner, she discovers the source of Emily's largesse -- her mother has invited another guest -- a man with whom she secretly hopes to fix Lorelai up. Back in Stars Hollow, Dean treats Rory to a wonderfully romantic dinner, and then gives her a present: a car that he's restoring for her, but he has an even bigger surprise planned for her that leaves her unable to respond.

Another great episode. The one thing I didn't like was the opening scene with Ms Patty talking about the history, was a bit boring. Dean and Rory are a good couple, when they talk its always really entertaining, like about Rory's book etc. The whole three month anniversary thing was good, liked Lorelai ringing Emily and telling her about it, Lorelai's shock at her saying yes was funny, 'The words coming to an end!'
Luke and Lorelai continue to be friends but seem more interested, then Luke's ex Rachel (The one mentioned in Concert Interruptus) turns up. We didn't see much of this, but we know Luke really likes her, I wonder if she'll be staying. Lane being setup AGAIN was funny, loved the scene at the festival when she walked passed Luke and her dates big family were behind her.
Lorelai at dinner was funny, it was good to see both her and Richard bored by the man that Emily brought, to set up with Lorelai. He was really annoying actually. I love Emily and Lorelai's rants to each other, really enjoyable. Another highlight was when Lorelai went out the window and Richard let her after she gave him a rather amusing speech.
Now there's Rory and Dean, they seemed to grow as a couple but I could kind of tell that Dean was really falling for her, the whole 'You look cute' thing. The car thing was nice but then comes on to the 'I love you' Rory's reaction was interesting, while I felt sorry for Dean, I thought
his comments about Rory talking it over with Lorelai were harsh.
I mean, come on! Only three months, give her some time. Then Dean asks that they leave and walks off. Rory tells Lorelai at the end, that they have broken up, feel sorry for Rory. Look forward to see how she handles this.
It's Rory and Dean's three-month anniversary. Emily lets Rory miss Friday dinner, which surprises Lorelai. Lorelai learns why when she goes and there is a blind date waiting for her. Emily thought they would make a good match, but she was wrong as Lorelai sneaks out. There is a celebration going on about who knows what. Luke's ex, Rachel, visits. Rory and Dean break up after Dean says, "I love you." Rory has to think about it.
This episode was good. I didn't really like it that much. It was interesting seeing Rachel and that Dean and Rory broke up. I never really liked Dean anyway. This episode gets a 9.0 out of 10!
Anniversary end up bad hide show
Two young lovers follow the stars and found each other, that is the origin of Stars Hollow.
Love is on the air and Lorelai is going crazy, she misses Max. There's a whole celebration going on Friday.
Rachel comes to town and Luke doesn't believe.
Friday is also Rory and Dean's 3 months anniversary and he is planning a surprise. So Lorelai asks Emily if Rory can miss the dinner and believe it or not Emily says yes. She arranged a date between Lorelai and some guy, Chase. The whole evening is boring and Lorelai sneaks out the window.
Rory and Dean have dinner, then he shows her his surprise, he is building her a car. She loves it. But all good must end at some time, he says "I love you" and she freezes. We found later that they broke up.
Not good I may add. Lets see what comes up next.
the town had the annual firelight festival. hide show
oh man this episode was so good. i was really happy that we got to meet racheal i was hoping that we would be able to meet the person who had luke all tore up when he seen lorelai wearing racheals cloths. to me racheal seemes a lot like lorelai they had similar personalities. i thought the concept of the firelight festival. i was really disappointed in rory that she could not tell dean she loved him. i was sad that he choose to break up with her because she did not say i love you but i could understand why he did it.
Dean says I love you hide show
Dean says I love you to Rory but she cannot say it back to him for whatever reason. Because of this he breaks up with her; I think that's really ridiculous; some people don't find it easy to say that so he shouldn't have broken up with her based just on that. You can tell she really cared about him other than that. Lorelai sneaks out of her parents house on Friday night dinner when they try to set her up and Rachel is now back in Luke's life...I don't like the looks of it.
