The episode begins with Maya moving into her new house. After Jabari warns Maya and Darnell of dogs barking outside, Maya quickly suspects they are crack dogs, Meanwhile, Toni and Todd seek help to come to a settlement. Unfortunately, they are unable to do so and they are given a court date for the custody battle of Morgan. Toni begs Todd not to bring up her being incarcirated, but Todd doesn't seem to hold back.

Back at Maya's house, Maya gives Toni and Lynn a tour of her new house, accidently opening the door to the bathroom in which Darnell was using. Joan finally arrives 2 hours late to Maya's house warming only to annouce that she's heading to an A list party. She gives Maya her gift which is a bottle of champagne, and she is on her way. Toni stops Joan before she is able to go and she questions wheather Joan will be there for her the next day which is her custody battle court date. Joan reminds Toni that she will be there and leaves cold heartly.

The next scene is with William out on a date with a woman that he was set up with on a dating service. The date ends early after William decides that she isn't the one for him.

Joan arrives at the A list party only to feel unwated and unconfortable. She is wearing a slutty green dress and she's the talk of the party. She runs into the photographer who took her picture for the magazine, who accalimed her the 'it' girl, but it is revealed that he doesn't remember her and that he calls everyone the 'it' girl.

Back at Maya's house, Maya and Lynn converse about how the four of them are growing apart. Maya urges Lynn to leave before she get attached. But once Lynn gets into the spirit of the moment, she begins to develop a song, dubbing Maya's house magical and locking herself in the guest room a.k.a Lynn's music room.

Joan gets drunk at the party. In the background a familiar song is playing. She is dancing to the song and she eventually offers to dance with some of men at the party, who all turn her down. Joan eventually ends up throwing up.

William goes to his match maker's house to hook him up with Monica, but she insist that Monica wants nothing to do with him.

Back at the party Joan walks in on a kareoke song about Puerto Rico. She is clearly unwanted and clearly drunk. Embarrased, she exits the mini-kareoke club.
