Mistaking the explosion for nuclear disaster, Amanda and Shelley hole themselves up in a homemade fallout shelter in their front room and send Jennifer foraging for food.

A little over two months after this final episode was first broadcast by BBC, Joan Greenwood died from a heart attack. Though the ending of this episode made it pretty clear that the show wouldn't return for a third series, that probably sealed the show's fate (since they'd already lost Tracey Ullman, whose Fox series began in April of '87).
