Show Summary

Good Morning, Miss Bliss was about a junior high teacher, Miss Bliss, played by Hayley Mills, and some of her students, including Zack, Screech, Nikki, Mikey, & Lisa. Miss Bliss was an innovative teacher, which did not always please her boss, Mr. Belding, who was the principal of the school. MissMore Bliss had been widowed a couple of years before and so juggled her personal life with her commitment to her students. The setting of the show was JFK Junior High in Indiana. After the show was cancelled by the Disney Channel, NBC picked up 4 of the characters (Zack, Screech, Lisa and Mr. Belding) for a new Saturday morning series called Saved by the Bell , which became more of a teen sitcom concentrating on the antics of the students and was re-located to Bayside High School in Pacific Palisades, California.

I like this shw better than the High School Saved by the Bell. hide show

From the looks of it, when Disney Channel cancelled the show and NBC started there's, Probably what happened was almost a quarter through the High School version on SAved by the Bell, NBC purchased the rights of Good Morning Miis Bliss and just put the name SAved by the Bell on the show and reran it on the bi-seasons of Saved by the Bell, as on episodes where they showed reuns about it, Zack was in high school, likely a junior, and he would always give a introduction to the show and then it would come on with the name Saved by the Bell. Then they had the cast of Good Morning Miss Bliss on there when they were younger, so NBC has the rights to all the shows, or at least partial rights, but Peter Engel just removed Disney's show name and put his on there to show people the show for who didnt have Disney and it did make the show a lot more interrsting showing the reuns of Good Morning Misss Bliss under the name of Saved By th eBell.

A prologue to "Saved By the Bell", "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" introduced Zack, Lisa, Screech and Mr. Belding. The show focused on Miss Bliss rather than the kids, showing her interacting with the kids at school and at home. hide show

Not a bad show! Hayley Mills was charming as Miss Bliss and had good chemistry with the rest of the class and the other adults in the school. The kids worked well together and it's interesting to see the Bayside kids so young! It probably only lasted a season because it didn't focus enough on the kids, yet was on the Disney Channel.
