- Series Inconsistancies:
As mentioned above, Peg and Pistol are nowhere to be seen in this series, or even mentioned, as far as I can tell. I don't know where the above person found information that those two were "exploring the wilds," but I've never read anything like that, myself, but I'm certainly not saying it's false. Also, Chainsaw(Pete's psychotic little dog) and Waffles(Goofy's cat) are also mysteriously not there. I guess they were both tossed in the kennel when the families went on vacation.
Secondly, in the Goof Troop cartoon series, Pete is the owner of "Pete's Used Car Dealership". In this movie, Pete and Goofy are both baby photographers? I know Pete's Used Car Dealership was doing really bad business, especially compared to Earl's Car Lot(I believe is the name of the other regularly-mentioned dealership. . .), but even after all this time, I wouldn't think Pete would've given up on his car lot.
Thirdly, the house where Goofy and Max live appears to be tremendously nicer than it did in Goof Troop. In fact, it may very well even be a different neighborhood altogether. The house they live in certainly isn't their same place on Spooner Street that we're used to seeing!
Lastly, Goofy got a new car! I'm sure you all recall his little red junker-jeep from the series. This car is obviously not it. edit » - There are two times during the trip when goofy knocks the frying pans off the luggage of the top of the car. Later, they are still there! edit »
- Jason Marsden voiced Max in this movie. edit »
- Siskel & Ebert gave this movie "Two Thumbs Up", a rare thing for a movie from a cartoon series. edit »
- First appearence of Bobby. edit »
- The movie doesn't explain what happens to Waffles, Chainsaw, Peg and Pete's Daughter. edit »
- Mickey Mouse also appears during the Powerline concert. edit »
- (After Max and Goofy's car along with them fall into the canyon river)
Max: Now look where you got us, Dad!
Goofy: Where I got us?
Max: You should've let me stay at home!
Goofy: Why? So you'd end up in prison?
Max: Prison? What are you talking about?
Goofy: Your principal called me!
Max: It's not what you think.
Goofy: You even lied to me!
Max: I had to! You were ruining my life!
Goofy: I was only trying to take my boy fishing, okay?
Max: I'm not your little boy anymore, Dad! I've grown up! I've got my own life now!
Goofy: I know that! I just wanted to be part of it. Your my son, Max. No matter how big you get, you'll always be my son. edit » - Max: Ya shoulda put the brake on!
Goofy: Why don'tcha just put it on yourself?!
(he tries to put on the brake, but it breaks with a BOING!)
Max: See? You ruin everything!
Goofy: Well, you ruined the vacation!
Max: I ruined it?!
(the car goes crashing on rock pillars)
Max: I never... (CRASH!) Wanted to go... (CRASH!) On this stupid... (CRASH!!) VACATION!!!!!!
(the car splashes into the river) edit » - Goofy: (hands Max his discarded possum hat) Hey, you dropped your hat.
(Max snatches his hat)
Max: AGGGHH!! This is the stupidest vacation! You drag me from home! Ya jam me in this dumb car, (cranks his window open) then drive 1,000,000 miles away, and see some STUPID RAT SHOW!!
(he throws his hat out)
Max: Call me when the trip's over. edit » - Goofy: (picked up the phone) Hello.
Principal Mazer: Ahh, yes Mr. Goof, this is principal Mazer I'm calling in regards of your son Maximillion.
Goofy: Max? Ohh my gosh! Is he hurt?
Principal Mazer: No Mr. Goof he's in trouble.
Goofy: Trouble? What kind of trouble?
Principal Mazer: Dressed like a gang member.
Goofy: Gang member?
Principal Mazer: Your son caused the entire student body into a riotous frenzy!
Goofy: Riot? Couldn't be my-
Principal Mazer: If I were you Mr. Goof, I would reevaluate the way you are raising your child, BEFORE HE ENDS UP IN THE ELECTRIC CHAIR!!!!!!!!
Goofy: (gulps) The electric chair? edit » - Max: Uh, dad, it's Bigfoot!
Goofy: Could you back up a bit Mr. Foot you're out of focus. edit »
- Lester's Possum Park:
Lester's Possum Park is supposedly spoofing Bear Country from Disneyland, only instead of bears, it's about possums. edit »
