As punishment for doing all of those pranks to get Trina and Daniel in trouble, Zane had to cut the grass. However, the three were finally getting along. Then, while Mr. and Mrs. O'Dell were planning to go out and let the kids stay home by themselves, Slappy and his minion, Rocky, set up a prank.
Later that night, when Trina went into the kitchen, she saw two dummies spinning around on the ceiling fan. they accused Zane for that,and for the dummy in the water container. Suddenly, Slappy appeared out of nowhere on the table. He came to life and chased them across the house. They managed to get him into his suitcase and down a well, but he escapes and goes back into the house. Then, with the same powers he used to bring Rocky to life, he transforms Zane into a dummy.
Trina and Daniel decided that if they read the spell backwards, maybe it will put the dummy to sleep. They remembered leaving it in the suitcase, so they went outside to pull it out of the well. When they got it up, it was gone. They went up to the attic, assuming Slappy took it.
They found the dummies "sleeping". Daniel goes up to the resting Slappy to swipe the card, but he wakes up. Luckily, they get the card. They read it backwards, and Slappy and Rocky put on a phony act that it worked. they find out Slappy's trick, and then Slappy commanded Rocky to teach the two a lesson. However, they convince Rocky to stop Slappy, and he and Slappy fight. Rocky tosses Slappy out the window, and within minutes, Slappy is struck by lightning and is destroyed. Rocky returns to normal, and so does Zane. However, when Zane leaves the next morning, he spins his head backwards towards Trina and Daniel, and says, "I'll be seeing ya real soon...cousins."
