Great episode with a few twists. Blair devises scheme after scheme to get even with Rachel, the new teacher who got her put in detention for sending her to a closed restaurant. She finally comes up with the idea with sending a post to Gossip Girl that Rachel was sleeping with Dan Humphrey. It is found to be a false accusation and Blair is expelled from school. A parents conference is called to discuss the whole thing. While the conference is going on Serena goes to a coffee shop that Rachel was at to take her something she had left. Serena sees Dan comforting Rachel, expects the worst and takes a picture of it. She takes the photo back to Blair and tells her she was telling the truth. Rachel gets fired and Dan has a lot of explaining to do to his father.
Dan goes over to Rachel's to apologize and she kisses him, pulls him into her apartment and the sleep together. Meanwhile at the school, they come to the conclusion that they have to reinstate Rachel.
Meanwhile Chuck Bass wakes up in a hotel room remembering only bits and pieces of the night before. He finds an invitation to a mansion and starts investigating. He remembers a girl he was with that night and finds that her name is El. El comes to meet him and says that he was an outsider and the invitation was actually meant for his father, who is now dead. She tells Chuck that his father was one of them. El leaves and Chuck later gets a call from El's employer that she never came home. Chuck is searching for information about what his father was into.
Eventful episode with Dan and Serena breaking up for the umpteenth time.
Dan and Serena break up (yes, again), Nate and Vanessa play, Chuck is searching for sth (yes, again), teachers learn sth (how have they been so stupid)... hide show
This second season has been far less good than first one until now, and at the end of this episode, I caught myself thinking that it had been too much for me this time. It is good sometimes to have characters you really care about, at least you want to check next episode even if only for them. Dan and Serena were these characters. Now their story has become incredibly boring, and Dan has acted so stupidly in last episodes that I really wonder if him going to Yale is realistic at all. Not talking about Blair's behavior that I can't stand anymore, and absolutely useless scenes like those of Nate/Vanessa and the final one when Dan is finally falling into Rachel's arms (bed).
I can't believe it, but the character I disliked most (and loved to dislike) has become my favorite: Chuck Bass...
Time for a little less trash and a little more scenario, isn't it?
Yet again, the writers of Gossip Girl send a twist our way.... hide show
I was absolutely amazed at the end of this episode. When I end a Gossip Girl episode going "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God" and can't say anything else, I know it's been a great episode. The twist at the end was totally shocking. What's great about this series is that I can't stand Serena- I love Blair- but they always make me feel sorry for Serena when things happen with Dan, and this episode showed no exception. I was absolutely satisfied with this episode-- when I leave an episode feeling shocked and wanting to skip my the required flute recital of one of my colleagues to see this episode, you know it was a good one. A Must See for all of those who love this show.
Gossip Girl.. well, well.. hide show
Well, the whole Serena and Dan storyline, how could I say? It's going nowhere.. I mean, of course the writers will do some plot twist so she end up going to Yale as well. Otherwise, Blair, Dan and Nate (?) will attend Yale and Serena will be isolated. And I don't think the writers and producers will make everything brand new (stories, characters) just for her.. or will they?? hmm.. that would be a nice spin-off.. lol
Dan and the little teacher.. well, it was kinda obvious that they would end up together. I just didn't know if they would do it while she was teaching at Constance or after she changed jobs.. well, I.. we got our answer in this episode..
Blair is one of the best characters on the show but she's getting really annoying lately.. the exchange with the teacher was painful.. I wonder if she'll be just like that, using the gossip girl and creating rumours about everyone she dislikes at Yale...
Really, really stupid episode! hide show
How come? The previous one was really great, but this episode was boring, silly and pathetic. God, Rachel/Dan? Serena breaks up with Dan, I'm thinkng how much episodes they will keep apart? 5? 6? Bleh. Bliar is really annoying. She and her passion to Yale... Is she really so stupid? One good thing: Bart and his mystery secret. Nate/Vanessa scenes were really... silly? :/ It's not THIS GG.
