    7.5 Good

Vanessa gets in the middle of Blair and Chuck's games, while Serena goes against her family's wishes. hide show

Blair and Chuck are once again involved in scheming and making deals. It loved how he got to sleep with Blair if he brought Vanessa down, but Blair ended up getting jealous and he played hard to get. Watching Serena act out against her family was entertaining but not much more. They really should have more guideliness but I guess the point was that their mother had never been there for them. It was cute to see them work it out in the end. The Dan and Nate friendship is a really good idea. I love seeing too characters who never thought they had anything in common hit it off.

We see a part of who Chuck is, Serena acting as Serena and of course Blair as good as always. hide show

Well I guess I must start with Serena, I love the way she speaks out, the way she always says and do whatever it crosses her mind.

It was good to see her defy Bart and in the end got what she wanted.

I feel a bit of pitty for Vanessa, I mean, I guess she should be the "lonely" in the show. Everytime it seems she is getting close to someone, something happens and it breaks her down.

It happened with Dan and now Chuck.

And well different from someone said, I think Nate has everything about with Dan. I mean Nate has never been mean or anything like that, actually after awhile he wants to get away from all this crazy world and he has always seeked a good friend. Dan is perfect for that.

Chuch... Chuck... Chuck... I really like his personality. I mean he is mean as he is only because everyone in his whole life believes he is mean and useless. He hasnt grown up with a mother and his daddy has always treated him that badly.

And everytime someone gets closer to him, something happens and breaks his trust. I guess he is pretty much misunderstood.

And Blair? Hmm, I guess Blair shouldnt really have anything with Chuck, I dont think they fit. I love her performance as usual, but still... maybe someone new could be Blair's love.

    Tsak Bass fullfronted! hide show

Well,i really enjoyed this episode! After the fight between the 2 best friends we find them calm... Blair wants Bass but she cannot admit it. we can all see that.. so girl spit it out.. what's wrong with you or are u afraid? so i want to see that will happen between these 2 caracters. we also see the first approacha after quite a while between san and serena, and it feels good. i don;t know why these two cannot be back together again. but the series has to have a storyline.. not everybody is happy in real life, either !
    Looking forward to next episode!

dan reaches out a helping hand, serena acts out again and vanessa and chuck beat blair at her own game(s) hide show

loved to see serena act out against bart and lily, the scene where she tells bart she wasnt wearing underwear, FANTASTIC!!!! am glad that she patched things up with both dan and blair, not that i in any way think serena and dan should end up together(she should be with nate)

nate and dans bromance: i didnt think it was wierd, particularly with the events of the last few episodes, where nate and chuck have been growing more and more apart, besides, chuck and nate dont have all that much in common anyway, except for being rich, and nate doesnt have that anymore...

vanessa just annoys me, why on earth was she at the school in the first place, the character is unessessary, no wonder the author of the book doesnt like her!

GG must go on. The best is yet to come. hide show

In this episode, we see Bass/Van Der Woodsens try to act as a family. Chuck was of course incredible as usual. Seriously, since when did Nate and Dan become such 'close friends'? Seeing Vanessa actually beat Blair at her own game by blackmailing her was amazing to see the least.

Serena of course was Serena and acts out when she doesn't like what's happening, it was interesting to see her defy Bart.

One question ... did Bart Bass ever have a heart? We know Chuck is wayward but not even, he deserves that kind of brutal treatment. (A man that cares more for his step-children than he does for his own son). Chuck actually deserves much better.

Blair was Blair stunning as usual ... we see her display her feelings for Chuck indirectly and see her insecurities come out when she feels that Chuck will succeed in seducing Vanessa. Chuck turning her down was shocking and unbelievable. Overall, a splendid episode and well written

More Quotes
  • We're pretty sure we've heard this story before, and we're pretty sure it ended with everyone dead.

GG is referring to the possible changing loyalties of friends. She is alluding to Shakespeare's Hamlet. The evil King Claudius is "concerned" about his nephew Hamlet's sudden madness, claiming to see the ghost of his father. Claudius sends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, fiends of Hamlet to spy on him.
Of course the end of this play sees everyone on the stage dead. []
  • Blair sms to Chuck: "Enroute to J Sisters."

The J Sisters is the best bikini waxing salon in the city. Every celebrity has been and every woman scrimps and saves if she must for a trip to the J Sisters. Chuck catches it and goes full throttle in his attempted seduction of Vanessa. []
  • The deal between Chuck and Blair to seduce Vanessa was the same as the deal between Sebastian Valmont (Ryan Phillippe) and Kathryn Merteuil (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in Cruel Intentions (1999), and the prize (after the realization of the deal) as well. []
