Irritated by complaints and about how much money he's losing, Oliver raises the rates at the Hooterville Phone Company. His top priority, however, is getting the Monroe brothers to connect his own phone inside the house. Meanwhile, Lisa discovers the magic of cooking dehydrated food.

Alf: How can he call us? He took our phone out? (edit) Lisa: (giving Oliver a pep talk) Two weeks ago, you were nothing but a plain old farmer, planting your little seeds in the ground and watching them shoosting and now you are the president of the telephone company. Why, yours is a regular Horatio Algebra story! (edit) Alf: (after Oliver yells about the hole they made in the ceiling) There he goes complaining again.
Ralph: Yeah. Don't you know you catch more herring with honey than you do with sour cream?
Oliver: I believe you mean you catch more herring with honey than you do with vinegar. I mean--flies with honey! (edit) Oliver: Where's all the food you're gonna cook?
Lisa: (holds up small plastic bag containing white granules In here.
Oliver: Oh boy.
Lisa: This is a bag of Dee Dee's dehydrofacated Mason-Dixon chicken dinner.
Oliver: Dee Dee's dehydrofacated--?
Lisa: That means without water. (edit)
