Eb is suddenly smitten with with Betty Jo Bradley and asks Oliver for some fatherly advice on romance. Recalling how his first evening out with Lisa cost him a fortune, Oliver advises Eb to make all of their evening's plans. That's just what Eb does--incorrectly--causing Billy Jo to cancel their date.

Eb: Yeah, she's got the kind of face that would make any man forget his sardines. (edit)
Oliver: Heart.

At the restaurant, every time Oliver says the word "champagne", a cork pops and a bottle of champagne is brought to him and Lisa.

During his dance lesson from Oliver, Eb imagines himself a great tap dancer and a Flamenco dancer.

Oliver claims Lisa took him to a "clip joint" restaurant on their first date, the Liechtenstein Luau. The waiter opened three bottles of champagne at $28 a pop.

Lisa has removed the labels from all of her canned goods. When you open a can, you get either chili con carne or dog food.
