Gregory Smith: Biography
Greg was born in Toronto. Greg's mother, Terrea Oster, is a teacher. His father, Maurice, is a film director, Greg firmly states he wasn't just "put" in his father's movies, but earned roles on his own. Greg has also said his grandfather was an actor, so acting definitely runs in his blood.
Greg's parents separated when he was twelve. He maintains a healthy relationship with his father. Since both of his parents reside in Canada, he only sees them a couple of times a year.
Because of his acting, Greg has traveled all over the world. He's lived and filmed in Romania, Los Angeles, and Texas. He now resides in Utah, near the set of Everwood.

- Gregory: I just kind of surround myself with stuff. I'll buy a couple things [the character would wear] and I'll start wearing that. In the weeks leading up, I'll start writing things from his point of view and slowly try to find exactly what the voice is, so by the time you're on set, the voice is very natural. (edit)
- Gregory: I like girls with a sense of humor. You meet people that sometimes you connect with. You have to be attracted to them physically, obviously, but mainly it's if someone gets you or not. (edit)
- Gregory: Normally I'm kind of a loner, but on Everwood we've all got each other's back.(edit)

- Gregory: I didn't start off doing my dad's movies or anything. I did it all on my own.(edit)
- Gregory: (on actress Jennifer Connolly) She's probably, like, the prototypical female. She seems smart. I've never met her, but I'm a big fan. She's got everything sort of tied together nicely.(edit)
- Gregory: Since Everwood began, I've got a lot more to do but, other than that, I haven't changed. I still prefer to hang out with my friends and joke around. Work is pretty much all consuming, so my love life is kind of non-existent. There's nothing too glamorous about my life.(edit)
