I considered that too, but surely they would have done that this season and left it as a big evil cliffy.

I am rooting for Izzie and Alex so so much! Their last scene last night was incredible.
Did anyone kind of notice that Izzie was there for Alex when he lost Rebecca, just like Alex was there for Izzie when she lost Denny? I thought that was adorable.

Derek and Meredith elope maybe, but that probably won't happen because they already did that with George and Callie. I think there will at least be a formal engagement though because last nights speech at the end pretty much insinuates they're going to get married. finally

However she said it wasn't going to be perfect their still going to have some bumps along the way. Meredith has that look on her face as Derek is walking off that she may sense something is wrong. That's the first thing my niece said was something was going to happen to Derek while she's waiting. We talked about it last night and kind of broke down what could happen with MerDer since they are signed for seven seasons.
Derek and Meredith get engaged during November sweeps.
Get married during February sweeps.
Meredith find out she's pregnant in the finale.
Then season 6 she could spend most of it pregnant.
Then season 7 watch them try to raise their children. Were hoping for twins it's just kind of a thought were messed around with.

Derek will get in a car accident on the way to Rose's (or afterward) and may temporarily lose his memory about who he's supposed to be with. Meredith will move forward with plans to build their house, hoping to help Derek get his memory back.
Callie and Erica will not hook up....but they will tease Dr. Sloan to make him think they did. I don't think Callie is a lesbian or Bi, I think she just likes kissing girls.
Izzie and Alex will not hook up right away, probably not until midway or the end of the season (there will be a lot building up to this).
Bailey's husband won't take her back, he's already moved on.
Lexie will pursue George, but he will tell her he just thinks of her as a sister.
Christina will become a good teaching resident and continue to grow as a cardio thorasic surgeon. She will be the next chief resident.

The cliffhanger-craving side of me was actually waiting for this to happen at the end. But they did the ending just right, I wouldn't have changed anything. As to how they'd begin season five, it seems it's a fresh start for everyone.
