Goof: What did the oxygen that burned Mr. Sullivan's face react with? As far as we saw, there was only air surrounding Mr. Sullivan's head, and air isn't flammable.

The oxygen reacted with the flame in the lighter, which caused combustion. That's why there was an explosion. edit »
In the beginning of the episode, Meredith says she might have an ulcer caused by the stress from deciding between Derek and Finn. Stress is no longer considered as a cause for ulcers, as they are in most cases course by the bacteria Helicobacter Pyleri or are a side effect of long time usage of NSAID (a widely used pain management drug).

Meredith says that the last time George scrubbed in the operation he almost killed the guy. This is a reference to the first episode of this show, 1x01 "A Hard Day's Night, when George was known in hospital as 007 when he scrubbed in on the very first surgery, an appendectomy, and screwed up. edit »
