this is a british import on bbc america from the same company that does changing rooms, and is sort of a changing rooms/trading spaces for a garden (backyard to you and me in america) staring the great alan titchmarsh, charlie dimmock, and tommy hide « show »

i defey you to watch this show and not be relaxed. The sound of alan titchmarh's voice is just soothing. this great show is in a trading spaces / while you were out mood but for yards and gardens. the homeowner is taking out of town for two days on some sort of pretense and a family member stays behind with the disign crew of alan (head gardener), charlie (plants), tommy (carpenter) and willie(concrete expert) as they make the ugly yards and flow gardens into great palaces of relaxation. They add exotic plants, and add gazebos or pergolas, and paint everything in sight.Unlike on trading spaces the homeowner almost always likes it. Mostly cause they are surprised, and usually the yards are such a mess to start with any result would be welcome, but the crew has real talent and makes some great yards. Tommy can build anything in a short time and with his brouge and funny wit he will make you laugh at every turn. all in all a great show for people who like hgtv, search it out. it still runs in reruns on bbc america occasionally and there is a dvd availabe that has lots of highlights watch and relax and enjoy

A great British take on how to redo a yard. hide « show »

I loved the people in this show. Even Charlie who never seemed to wear a bra. THat had to be painful. I loved how we got to see what the other side of the world do their yards. The things they planed were beautiful. I loved how they even came here and did an episode. The main host was great too. He wsa really funny. It was amazing how quickly the team worked. They sent the owners awya and would clean and finish the yard in a few days. Plus it was fun to watch the shocked people come home to a new yard.
