We've got a topic for you to rant and rave in, now here's one for anything you hear regarding the show. Read at your own risk, spoilers are possible.

Don't forget, many of the things are just rumored, don't always take them as fact.

EDIT:
I forgot to write what the first one I read was.

There's a rumor that one of the leading ladies will be leaving after her contract is up later this year. Now, Michelle Ray Smith (Ava) is pregnant, and her contract will be up later this year... could it be her?

I didn't know she was pregnant! Seems that she is the likely suspect, she hasn't had a good storyline in a while! Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Oh yeah, the baby is due in July. I'm hoping it's not Marcy, but with the whole Jonathan story it could be possible.

From what other sources I've read, it looks like the pregnancy has actually meant Ava is staying. She was originally going back to modeling but now has decided to stay. Also heard that it was Natalia since Gus is also leaving. Just what I read on soapcentral.

Oy Gus is leaving, I didn't know that. Although I did hear that one of the leading men was saying that he didn't like who he was being paired with currently, so maybe it was Ricky Paull. I'm sure he didn't like how they broke Harley and Gus up since he loved working with Beth so much.

The Gus/Natalia pairing is so boring, so I could see why Ricky Paull would possibly dislike it. I hope he doesn't leave though!

Rumor #2.

A certain character, who hasn't been seen in a while, has been mentioned quite a bit lately causing people to believe that they will be returning soon. Is a recast possible or with the PTB hold off until the original portrayer is ready to come back on their own?

Rumor #3

Now that it's revealed that Ricky Paull is leaving, rumors are going around that Kim Zimmer, Beth Ehlers, and Robert Bogue are also thinking of leaving the show.

Kim Zimmer CANNOT leave the show, she IS the show! I could lose Harley right now though...her character has gone downhill. Mallet...I can either take him or leave him!

Yeah, Reva is the best character and sadly I don't think any of the other woman can take over the lead from her. Crystal Chappell maybe, but the way Olivia is now, all I don't think so.

If this last rumor is true and Harley and Reva are leaving, I guess the silver lining, for me, is that I'll be soap opera free b/c I doubt I'd watch anymore.

I've always been under the impression that Robert Bogue (Mallet) and RPG didn't get along. Also, Bogue has recently talked about how he enjoys the new sets and outdoors scenes, so I think he'll stick around at least for a while.
I love Kim Zimmer and Beth Ehlers, but for me I'd feel more of a loss if Ehlers left the show. I HOPE she doesn't leave because of RPG leaving. I also love Chrstal Chapell. She recently signed a year contract, so she'll be around for that long at least.
I imagine once the actors get used to the new taping and sets of the show, things will settle down a bit.
Last I heard though, GL's contract is up with CBS in July. Proctor and Gamble wants Ellen Wheeler to try the new sets and the new format for at least 2 years, but that's only if CBS renews their contract in July!! I HOPE HOPE HOPE it's renewed! (As the World Turns is in the same boat).

First of all, welcome Jared to the forum, I hope we will be seeing more of you.

For the most part I hear that many of the actors like the new sets and production design. I'm not sure if all of them are though. I'm crossing my fingers that both shows stay on, although I haven't watched ATWT in years.

I would really, really hate for any soap to go off the air, especially GL. Soaps are a dying breed and they need to stay on the air!
