  When ever I think about my childhood I always thing of Gullah Gullah Island. I remember everyday at 11:30 A.M Face would talk about our favorite pollywog and then go to Gullah Gullah Island. The show's colors and music were what is believed made this show so great. I have spoken to Natalie numerous times since the show has been off the air and have learned so much about what it took to produce the show and things of that nature. Hopefully this forum will become active so we can have some great conversations about the show.less «

  this was such a wonderful show. nick jr. should bring it back! i found an ep on youtube not too long ago & i sorta felt old when i watched it.lol too bad there was only one ep on there or i would've watched many more eps. i still remember the theme song. GGI deserved to last longer than 3 years. screw nick jr's newer shows! gimme any nick jr. show from the 90's. they should take off that b@%!$ Dora & replace her with this awsome show! at least show it once in a while. i would recommend this to anyone!

  Hey kiddies and older folk! i just loved working on this show with Ron and Natalie! It was a pleasure working with all the children! Binyah Binyah has always been my favorite character. Believe me, I've played many. Binyah Biayah Polywog! Everybody's favorite frog! :-D I miss you Ron. This show is my favorite memory! *ribit* *ribit* binyah binyah! haha i loved that

  I think Gullah, Gullah Island. Is a great show and you should read my mini speach about the show also if you wann'a watch it you must wake up early because the show is on early I wish this show would get more credit. So start reading my speech below. hide « show »

  Hello, how are you I am fine. I think that Gullah, Gullah Island is a decent show. When I was little I you use to watch it all the time but now it's cancelled I really hope that Gullah, Gullah Island. I think I heard that it was coming back to Noggin.Even though it's a kids show I still think it is cool. But when it airs on tv it's only at 4:30 am. So I can't watch it. And I'll never wake up at that time. I can barely wake up for school. Anyways I think it's a great show and you should watch it sometime

  One of the best kids shows out there hide « show »

  Like I said, Gullah Gullah Island was one of the greatest and most successful childrens show. I watched it when I was about five years old and younger on Channel 169 [Dish Network] which was Noggin, and it was sooooo awesome. You wanna know what happened at six and older? I've never seen it again due to some stupid reason that Noggin and or Nick brought some dumb cartoon and animation series to their networks, and got rid of a ton of great shows like Gullah Gullah Island. Even with all the awards the show had gotten! I haven't seen it in so long that I only remember two names: James and Vanessa and thats it. But I do remember my favorite episode and it was the one where the parents decide to let the kids do whatever they want. This show was great, bravo work.

  Gullah Gullah Island is a children's show about an African-American family living on a private island. It is a great show for younger kids because it teaches them lessons and how to have fun. hide « show »

  OMG I used to absolutely love this show when I was little. I'm 15 now and I still wish it were on so I could watch it and have a good laugh. Please don't say I'm a baby for missing the days when it was on the air because it really is a good show. Nowadays, Nick Jr isn't much more than just Dora the Explorer and newer shows all day long. Also those shows are not really the best ones for the under 6 age group, they are just stupid. So please can someone bring Gullah Gullah Island back on Nick Jr or Noggin?!
