    Ya know, over the years on Queer As Folk Mikey was really portrayed as a very sensitive very sweet guy. We saw a lot of that over the years as well. But watching Hal in some of his interviews and even in some of his stand up acts I've kind of noticed he appears to be nothing like the character. He's kind of got a comical vibe surrounding him at all times and he seems more out spoken and abrasive then Michael. I can't help but notice it, does anyone else? It's not just me is it?

    Don't get me wrong I still love both Michael and Hal but he just seems so different from the character sometimes when I watch the show I can't help but think about it.

    i noticed too but hal is such a great actor that i think he can pull off anything, and u can see some of hal in michael. liek wen michael tells jokes u can tell hal improvised those. ok im just building him up cause i love him so much btu its true he is an amazing actor. he didnt even think he was gunna be able to do drama because hes a comedian. if u ever see bloopers of the seasons ( youtube) then u can definatly tell hal is there. but michael is alot more calmer and hal is a very energized person. but yah i dont think about hal wen i watch the show because hes so into character that u dont think about it.

    I do agree I mean you can see that Hal is very different then Michael very energetic and Michael is much more subdued but I don't usually think about Hal when I watch the show, I get far to into to think of him as anyone but Michael but sometimes like...when he says dude I mean it feels really out of character. But you are right he is a great actor who can pull of a lot of different roles excellently, I love him myself. It's just sometimes it's such a drastic change watching him go from Michael to himself that I get a little thrown.

    I agree as well. I think out of all of the cast on the show, the difference between Michael and Hal stands out the most. This is just my opinion, and I havent really seen the others in a lot of different roles, except Gale on Vanished and clips of Randy on Youtube in The Glass Meganerie.

    Listening to Hal being interviewed is something I spend a lot of time doing and reading his interviews as well. Sometimes you can "see or hear" Michael in him when he says certain things, I noticed that a couple of times on Celebrity Duets...lol...

    I guess it does show the amazing talent that he has , stand up comedian, singer with a hard rock band, actor. He is just a bundle of energy I think.

    Bundle of energy, that's a good way to put it.
