Halle was named 'Miss Teen All American' in 1985, and Miss Ohio USA in 1986. She was also the first runner up in the 2004 Miss USA pageant. (edit) Halle owns two Maltese dogs named Polly and Willy. (edit) In October 2007 it was revealed that Halle had received racist death threats to her unborn baby. Halle hired security guards after she received several anonymous threatening letters. One note warned she and her child would be "cut into hundreds of pieces". (edit) In April 2007, it was revealed that Halle would shave her head for the romantic-comedy, Nappily Ever After. The movie is scheduled for release in 2008. (edit) On April 4th, 2007, Halle was immortalised on Hollywood's ‘Walk of Fame‘. Her star is the 2333rd to be laid on the ‘Walk of Fame’. It's the first time I've been to an awards show where they served a meal and I actually ate it - the whole thing. I was eating off everybody else's plate and that felt very liberating and good.
