Marion prepares Richie's and Joanie's lunches, and Howard gets ready to go to work. Marion, tired of the monotony around the house, asks Howard if they can enter the Harvest Moon Dance Contest at WZAZ-TV this year, and everyone laughs, including Howard after Richie and Joanie leave for school. He says he won't do the contest. Marion talks to Fonzie about being her dance partner. They discuss when and where they can practice together, and, in addition to practicing at his garage after work, Fonzie suggests using Arnold's before it opens up in the morning. As Howard gets home from work, Marion is leaving. She tells Howard that she is going to Mother Kelp's to cook for her and that Joanie can cook Howard dinner. Joanie says she is eating at Wanda's and that she ordered Howard some food from Arnold's. Howard talks to Arnold who reveals that Marion and "another man" are meeting early in the morning at the drive-in. Howard calls Mother Kelp to talk to Marion, but she's not there. He becomes suspicious of Marion. Howard comes down the next morning and hears Marion on the phone (probably with Fonzie) talking about the dance that night at 8:30. Potsie and Ralph come over, and Potsie talks to Ralph about seeing Marion coming out of Fonzie's garage at night. Ralph says he's seen them together at Arnold's in the morning. They go upstairs to Fonzie's place to ask him about Marion and what is going on between them. Fonzie tells them about the dance contest. After finding a note, Howard comes down to the television station and is furious until he realizes Fonzie and Marion are just dancing. Richie and Joanie also show up and are angry at Fonzie. Joanie kicks him. Marion volunteers to just go home, but Fonzie practiced all week and wants to dance. Marion and Fonzie dance the tango and everyone applauds them. They end up winning the contest. Fonzie tells Richie he has one score to settle, and Joanie kicks him again.
