Richie and Potsie think about joining the Demons after a girl goes out with one of its members, Bag. Potsie tries to start Fonzie's bike. Howard and Joanie do a paint-by-number painting of Napoleon. Richie and Potsie are accepted but must do the six Deadly Dares. First, Potsie makes a prank phone call. Then, Richie and Potsie each kiss Marsha. Later, they put on ski masks and roller skates and pull off Mr. Crenshaw's toupee at school. They sing "My Country 'Tis of Thee" during a 3-D movie at which the Cunningham family happen to be attending. Howard questions Richie as to whether these dares are worth the trouble. They tie a police officer's shoelaces together, and the officer ends up falling on Marsha. For the final dare, they go to a sock hop dressed as girls. Fonzie dances with Richie while Ralph dances with Potsie. Eventually, they decide against joining the Demons because a girl that's impressed by a guy just for wearing a Demon's jacket isn't worth impressing.
